Patricia Ann Medow

Patricia "Pat" Ann Butler, 58, passed away on Monday (July 31, 2000) at the Queen of the Valley Hospital following a brief illness.

Pat was born May 14, 1942 in San Bernardino, CA. the daughter of the late thomas and Opal Marie Medow. She had been a resident of Napa since 1945 and was a 1960 graduate of Napa High School. After high school, she completed training at Napa State Hospital to become a psychiatric technician. She retired from the hospital in 1992 after serving as a technician there for more than 32 years.

Pat was a member of St Apollinaris Catholic Church in Napa where she was active in the Women's Guild. She will be remembered as a loving mother and sister who had an affinity for rainbows and anything Winnie the Pooh.

Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry Butler in 1994. She is survived by her son, John "Marty" Medow of Napa; her three sisters, Marion Hinckley of Oregon, Gerry Masel of Napa and Dixie Brown of Napa; two step-daughters, Pam Butler Beeman of Swarthmore, PA and Debbie Kastner of San Luis Obispo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pat also leaves her beloved cat, Sidney.

The family asks that memorials be made to St Apollinaris Catholic Church, 3700 Lassen St, Napa, CA 94558 or to the Napa Alano Club, 1115 Jordan Lane, Napa CA 94558.
