Leon Negri

Granite Bay - Lee Negri entered into the gates of heaven and the arms of his Heavenly Father on July 22, 2007, after a valiant fight with cancer. Lee was preceded in death by his father, Leno Negri. He is survived by his mother, Alma Negri; his brother Gary and wife Kathy; his sister, Debra Stoddard and husband Wes; his sister-in-law, Janet Parnie and his beloved nieces and nephews. He was adored and loved by his three daughters, Noel Brown and husband Dan; Mindy Dosher and husband Paul, and Jessica Negri. One of his greatest joys was his five granddaughters, Kennedy and Campbell Brown and Emily, Haley and Madison Dosher. The love of his life was his wife Jane. They shared 41 wonderful years of marriage and look forward to being together in eternity.

Lee was born and raised in Napa. An alumni of Chico State, he was an officer in the Navy and completed two tours of duty in Vietnam. Lee held two masters degrees from Sacramento State University and a doctorate of education from the University of San Francisco. He served in the San Juan Unified School District for 35 years and retired as the Director of the 7-12 Division. He was also a professor for the University of Laverne. He has been actively involved at Sunrise Community Church for 33 years.

Lee had a great love for the outdoors and looked forward to his annual hunting trips with his close friends. He enjoyed fishing and family times at Mill Creek, spending time at Clear Lake and watching the squirrels in the backyard. Lee was known for his amazing storytelling ability and famous sourdough pancakes. He will be missed by his many friends and colleagues who loved and respected him. His family will always cherish the time spent together and the wonderful memories they share.
