Karen Rae (Nelson) Allen passed away peacefully in her home in Roseville, CA early Tuesday morning October 31, 2017. She was 75 years old.

Karen was born at Victory Hospital in Napa on March 7, 1942 to Victor and Elaine Nelson. She was raised in a small house on South Terrace Dr. along with her three sisters, Florence "Billie" Teverbaugh, Carole Cammarota, Mary Havelock and two brothers, Robert and Rocky Nelson.

Karen attended Shurtleff Elementary, Napa Junior High, Ridgeview Junior High and was a 1960 Graduate of Napa High School. Karen had lived in Napa for 71 years before moving to Roseville, Ca to be near her children and grandchildren.

She married the love of her life, Ted Allen in 1960, and together they raised three children, Douglas, Corinne and Jeffery. She worked at the Napa County Office of Education for thirty years and enjoyed every minute of it. Karen loved reading and baseball and was a loyal Oakland A's fan even though they frequently broke her heart. But most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She always enjoyed getting her entire family together as often as she could.

Karen is survived by her husband Ted, brother Robert, two sons Douglas (Pam) and Jeffery (Laina), six grandkids Jennifer (Stephen), Nicole, Kaya, Jack, Sydney, Sam and one Great-Grandchild Marcus. She was preceded in death by her daughter Corinne and siblings Billie, Carole, Mary and Rocky.

In keeping with Karen's wishes, services will be private.
