Dave was born in Anamosa, Iowa and moved to Napa, Calif. in 1956 where he met the love of his life, Darlene. In 1973, they moved to Bremerton to raise their family. He worked for the federal government for 30 years, retiring from PSNS in 1993 as Welder General Foreman.
He enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, volunteering at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Vincent de Paul, traveling, "puttering", and telling stories of his life.

I believe that you are correct Jim about David being married to Darlene Libby.. The David Paul I remember was a quiet, easy going, really nice guy. I didn't know that David and Darlene lived so close to me up here in Washington. Bremerton is only about 35 miles south of Chimacum where I live. Any time I am in Napa and drive down Lincoln street, getting to the corner of Lincoln and Main I think of the Darlene and Marlene Libby. I believe that the Libbys lived right there on the corner of Lincoln and Main or close to that corner. I believe that their parents owned one of my favorite places on Lincoln St., Foster Freeze. I was hooked on their Root Beer Freeze.
