Joseph Shanks
Mr. Joseph William Shanks, age 60, a lifelong resident of Napa, died April 7, 2003, in Napa. He was born Sept. 23, 1942, to George and Gloria Shanks in Wooden Valley.
Mr. Shanks was a foreman at Basalt Company for 25 years.
He was a loving father and grandfather, and was very proud of his family. He was a sports enthusiast, an avid Raiders football fan and loved to operate heavy equipment and tractors.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail Honz and her husband, Steve, of San Diego; and his two grandchildren, Kaila, age 17, and Kyle, age 14. He is also survived by his brothers, George and John Shanks, both of Napa.
