Hit-Run Car Sought After Fatal Mishap

An impatient motorist's anger resulted in the death of a teen age girl here, Friday afternoon, Dec. 22nd, 1961 as, incensed at his inability to pass a car in front of him, he rammed into it and sent it skidding into a power pole.

One of he passengers in the car that was rammed, Sandra Story, 19, 2408 Alameda Street, Vallejo, was dead on arrival at Kaiser Hospital, Vallejo.

The driver who hit her vehicle immediately sped away from the accident scene at speeds estimated as high as 100 miles per hour. The California Highway Patrol is searching for this person today on hit-run charges.

Besides Miss Story's death, the wreck injured her mother, Mrs. Veta P.Story, 40, also of Vallejo, and her brother, Pfc. David Lee Story, 21, stationed with the United States Marine Corps at Hunter's Point.  Both were reportedly "doing well" at the Kaiser Hospital this morning.
