I had a class or two with Kristen, and she was such a sweet girl. I remember how nice and polite she was. I am sorry to hear of her passing. My prayers are with her and her family.

I have many fond memories of Kirsten, including taking her to the Prom, and other graduation related activities.

I am grateful to all of her friends that helped us get together.  I was much to shy to try to get to know her, but she had some friends that helped her overcome her shyness.  For the last half of the year she was here, I was able to get to know the family she stayed with, and she participated in several activities with my family.

In 1961, I was called on to serve a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in England.  When that mission was completed in 1963, I was able to travel to a few places in Europe before returning home.  Some of my family are from Holland, and I was able to go there.

I also went to Copenhagen, and was able to visit with Kirsten at her home.  I am sorry to say that I lost track of her, as well as most of our classmates.

I am grateful for the format of this reunion; I am looking forward to become re-acquainted with many that I called friends so long ago.

KIRSTEN WAS A DEAR FRIEND OF MINE, AS WELL AS OF PAT ROMBERG ELAM.

WE BOTH EXCHANGED BIRTHDAY CARDS AND HOLIDAY CARDS WITH HER UNTIL THE TIME OF HER DEATH.  WE BOTH VISITED WITH HER AND OLE AND FAMILY AT DIFFERENT TIMES OVER THE YEARS.WHAT A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE THAT WAS! THEY CAME TO COPENHAGEN AND PICKED MY HUSBAND AND MYSELF UP FOR A FANTASTIC DAY OF SIGHTSEEING. WE WENT TO THE DOCK AND PURCHASED FRESH FISH AND RETURNED TO THEIR HOME FOR A HOME COOKED MEAL INCLUDING FRESH RUBARB PIE!  SHE WAS A DEVOTED MOTHER AND WIFE AND A HIGHLY RESPECTED TEACHER IN DENMARK.   I MISS HER DEARLY.

JACKIE (WEIDLER) NISSIM
