Jerry was at Pueblo Vista Elementary with me. I can remember he and Jerry Marco walking the fence behind my house to play with my 1950's American Flyer train set. Those were fun times. We were at Redwood Jr High together but lost touch in high school. I'm truly sorry for his family. RIP old friend.
I competed with and against Jerry Davis in sports. More importantly, I got to known him as a genuine and reliyable guy who who was never negative or spiteful. One of the really good guys. I shall miss him..
Very sad to hear. JD was my college roommate at Chico State way back in the mid-60s. As others have observed, he was just a plain good guy. Always positive, quick to laugh, the source of great advice, usually in a homespun Oklahoma style. Saw him a few years back and he was still full of life and laughter. He will be missed for sure.
My heart is very hurt hearing about Jerry passing away We went through Redwood, NH, Napa JC and Chico together. Jerry was always one of the best Napa men. He was always kind, accommodating and up for a good time. He had such a great sense of humor. He will be missed.
There was only one J.D. Tough enough to survive getting hit by a train, always cackling in that high-pitched drawl, smart as anyone and a fella you could always depend on. In a large class with many exceptional people, his personality stood out. He was special. We were so lucky to have him on our side. Hard to believe he's gone for good.
I knew Jerry from Pueblo Vista Elementary School, we were in the same classes. Also, were friends at Redwood Jr. High School. My older brother would go down to their Court to play Football and such with his older brother, Tommy, and Jerry Marco's brother, Tommy.
Had a very nice visit and talk with him at our 50th Anniverrsary Picnic. A really nice guy!

Jerry was one of the good guys! Funny, sincere, genuine and if there was trouble you wanted him on your side.
