After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, it destroyed our New Orleans College Campus and most of New Orleans. It took me three years to recover from the damage, and still have some still to touch up in my home... Many people are still without homes. The school never opened in New Orleans Campus, for many of our students could never return to home. Many of my students contact me from all parts of the country were they found themselves dropped off by the transportation that took them away from here after the storm. We all try to help one by one to get back into their homes, well to help many BUILD a new home. Much is needed and the government forgot all of us. Most of the help has come from people like you and me volunteering our time and money.
I have spent whatever free time trying to help the less fortunate rebuild their homes. Although it will take a better man than I to restore our City.
