Terri Nelson (Hubbard)

NO!! and I've been kicking myself for not getting his phone number, e-mail or SOMETHING!! I feel horrible! I hope everything is working out there. He said he taught a class at Ferris so I tried to find him on their website, but found nothing.
Hey...who has the book that everyone signed in on? does it have his number or e-mail?

Maureen Pendergast (Madrid-Wilson)

I have the book at home...I know Jeff signed it...I was quite pushy about getting everyone to sign! So...any suggestions as to another reunion date? Was July a good month? IDEAS?

I'm still here too..... I just didn't have any good ideas at this time.... very busy getting daughter back in school, working and alot of other excuses.... My son Justin, will be starting his swim meets @ Oakland Univ., so that will be some excitement in my life. It's his senior year it went by sooooo fast. Anyway, fall is my favorite season esp. when I lived in Newaygo, all you who reside there enjoy the colorful season. Maybe I'll take a color tour... Keep in touch. Paula

MMMM.....Autumn in Newaygo County....Love it. Can we say carmel apples! I look forward to not mowing my lawn and knocking down all the weeds. Oh- wait- I still have alot of work with the leaf raking....but then it's just me and my snow shovel. Cold but much less work...bring on the snow...well I can wait until December for that fun.

Terri Nelson (Hubbard)

Thanks, Mitz! I'm on a diet and now I'm craving carmel apples from Nelson's Market! I love the smell of Fall and all that, but it means winter is coming. Winter is pretty and nice and everything, but it could be completely done the first of March and I'd be very happy!
Look at all those 'buts' I threw in...does that mean I'm hard to please???? uh oh...that might explain a lot!

MMMMMMMMM Nelson's apples on a stick are the best! that was exactly what i was thinking of.

Paula Hanlon (Veneklase)

I did not mean to tempt anyone to any cravings or break with diet plans, I just meant the beautiful, colorful leaves. But, if you do go to Nelson's for an apple have one for me they do sound good.

I LOVE THE CIDER AND DONUTS THIS TIME OF YEAR. WAIT-- I REMEMBER DRINKING THE LEFTOVER CIDER DURING BASEBALL SEASON IN THE SPRING THAT WAS LEFT IN THE CONCESSION STAND.. THAT WASSSS GOOOOD. DAN

Paula Hanlon (Veneklase)

Let's see from fall to spring, are we talking hard cider? It must of been pretty hardened by then!!!

09/30/08 10:09 AM #52

Terri Nelson (Hubbard)

I don't know if that even sounds healthy, DAN!
How's packing going, Paula?

Paula Hanlon (Veneklase)

I'm not sure I'm getting rid of as much as I should, but it is going well. I've had a few days off and got done all I needed to. Did anyone make it to Nelson's? Maybe for a carmel apple or for some "fresh cider" and a donut.
I'm sure when the kids were young it was a must do in the fall. When is homecoming @ Newaygo? Are anyone's kids going? I remember Mitzi's garage for float building, do they still do that. We didn't "clown around" when it came to float building. Keep me updated on the color tour.

Terri Nelson (Hubbard)

No Nelson's for me! I've refrained so far.
Homecoming is tonight (10/3). And Mitzi is a TROOPER! I think she's had quite a few float-building's in the past several years...including this past week!

10/09/08 06:27 PM #55

Mitzi Carlson (Beckman)

Terri's right. We have hosted float building for 6 years now.(maybe 1 more year for my daughter Brittany's class) My daughter Mikal's class all 4 years and now Kenzie's class for 2 years. They have already asked to come back for their Senior year. By the way they took 2nd, with the Freshmen taking #1...OUCH!!
Paula the colors are coming on strong...worth a trip soon to see along with a stop at Nelson's. My daughter and I have stopped...YUMMY! It's worth it Terri!

I heard the Freshman won the float contest....actually, how cool is that? It used to be the Seniors won no matter what. But, I remember our Junior year with the clown float - when we won, it was so cool to beat the Seniors! Do the kids still go "coonin' apples"? I never did that....I was such a good kid in high school. I actually stayed and worked on the float! Duh, what an idiot, I missed out on a lot of fun.

Kim Kimba Billing (Deleon)

My name really looks stupid here...it's very confusing. I don't know if I'm Kim Deleon, Kim Billing, Kimba Billing, or Kimba Deleon.....or just maybe all of the above. I guess I am a split personality! I hear voices.

10/13/08 10:50 AM #60

Paula Hanlon (Veneklase)

...let's add with the "coonin' apples".... "screamin' Ethel" sightings or "haunted house huntin' "....So many fall activities for us not so good kids. By the way Kim, I know better about you being so good. Wink, wink....you may of had some fooled.......can anyone else vouch for that. Anyway, it was all just innocent fun now that we look back, right! Paula

10/13/08 11:49 AM #61

Terri Nelson (Hubbard)

They don't coon apples anymore, now they break into cars and steal stereo systems, ipods and cell phones! Little hoodlums! ; ) haha-not really...well, okay, REALLY..but only some of them. Actually, I don't know if they coon apples, but I see an awful lot of TP around this time of year and smashed pumpkins.
And, yah, I can vouch for little miss innocent Kim-Kimba-Kimber-DeLeon-DeLireous,Dewhatever her name is-she could be a 'stinker'-I just won't go into it! But, during float time we really did stick around and actually build floats...I'm not sure what Paula was doing, but I'm surprised that I wasn't with her! Maybe I was...Am I forgetting something Paula?
