But with Kimba's multi-personality, multi-names she could have both been the good girl float builder AND the apple coonin' hoodlum......(and she owes me $5 for figuring that out ;))

That's our Kimba, a little multi-tasker. That's good Martha.

Knowing the little stories she'd write, we KNOW she's at LEAST a little off! I'm surprised she didn't grow up to be a writer (or a PHOTOGRAPHER)!!! Or both!

Martha, your $5 is in the mail....

I liked to call myself a "red-head" while in school...the rednecks thought I was a "head" and the "heads" thought I was a redneck....maybe I was (am?) a split personality!

Paula, I think I DO remember you putting "a" napkin in "a" chicken wire hole - then it was time to go....I think you said you had to leave to do homework! Hee-hee.

I just got off the phone with my mother and she informed me that Jeff Pedelty's brother Joe, passed away on Saturday, Oct 18th. Dr. Pedelty told her that his heart failed.

I'm not sure if any of you saw in the Indicator obituraries last week, but another of our classmates suffered a loss. Bob Nienhuis' mother passed away Saturday, October 11. Bob and his siblings were able to be by her side when she passed at home.

I bumped into Ed Ames today in Fremont. He's looking great! I told him about the website. His computer is down, but I hope we see him add his name to the list soon.

Well, it's finally here...election day. I'll be glad to have the TV ads done. I'm so tired of seeing the one about the "sleeping Judge"....I'm voting for Joe The Plumber with Joe Six Pack as V.P.

I got my sticker too and I am with you folks it will sure be nice to have regular commercials back and not all that political stuff. Yippee.
Has anyone heard how Jeff or Bob N. are doing?

I got my sticker but missed my free cup of coffee at Starbucks. No word on Jeff, but my mother went to Joe's funeral and said that his family and friends did a fine job of celebrating the life of the one they held so dear.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is almost upon us? It's been 4 months already since the reunion. I'm impressed that we've all kept "talking" since then.

The Holidays and winter months always bring about memories. Some of our winters in the late 70's meant some good snowmobling, I remember once being able to go right downtown and to get to Terri's. Also, having to get the blazer or the oldsmobile out of a ditch on a few occasions. Always an adventure to find in our little town. Seeing if you could get up old womens bend, or Whiskeywood hill (can't quite remember what is was called but, it was the hill just over the bridge on the back side of town) in the dead of winter was always a challenge. Maybe someone could help me remember all those little titles we had for things back then. At present do they still use these titles? As for another reunion has anyone talked about another date?

11/14/08 08:53 AM #83

Kim Kimba Billing (Deleon)

Paula, I remember going to your house when your parents would be out snowmobiling and you'd have the house to yourself....and a few friends. Also, we never seemed to let a little snow or ice keep us from our designated party areas....maybe our next reunion should be in the "hole in the woods" - actually, I don't even remember where that was....was there more than one? I know we had one here in Croton, used by us Crotonnites - but there was one in Newaygo, too, wasn't there?

I seem to remember it being somewhere by Brooks or Hess Lake. But, we had one out by Emerald/Sylvan Lakes too! Behind the old drive-in. Those were the care-free days.....I think I made a few trips out to Croton on my snowmobile. Kim, I remember time spent in the trailer next to your house. Now, that was a hang out...We did have our share of fun.

11/16/08 08:52 AM #88

Paula Hanlon (Veneklase)

No, I was the one home studying right after I put a napkin in the chicken wire.....remember.....Though, there are days when I think I must of kept my guardian angel very busy!!! Yes, we had some fun times.
