I remember Michael fondly . . . a neighbor and friend. I didn't have any contact with Michael after high school so I am unable to say if he had a short but happy life. I hope so.
One of the great things about high school is that you often find yourself some how thrown in with people you just normally wouldn't be associated with for any number of reasons. In many ways Michael and I were direct opposites. He had many qualities that I wish I had possessed. Quiet, courteous, scholarly, friendly and unassuming, would be how I would describe Michael. Thrown together in English class Michael became one of those people that would always brighten your day. I am not sure I ever heard a harsh word come out of his month. From our time at Warren through high school, Michael was a special person. They say the good die young, at 42 it is way too young. I hope he lived a lifetime in those brief years.

Michael died in May, 1989 of brain cancer. He was a good friend.
