I'm pretty sure Coach Wehinger may still look younger than some of those later classes as well.  Sounds like a great idea if we get a 9/25/19 home game under the lights and then go party so we can all make it to Borio's by 1 on Saturday....maybe just go there after the game and spend the night, wake up at noon.

There have been lots of bouncebacks from recent messages. I suspect that over the last ten years folks have retired, moved and changed their email addresses. Please reach out to anyone you know and have them update their contact info. We have over 200 people on the site but many are not active. Also, if you frequent places that have bulletin boards like the library, senior centers or restaurants please consider asking if you can post an announcement. Any other ideas would be great,

Heard some sad news today from Syracuse relatives. John Witz passed away. He was a couple years older than us, but left a big impression on me in high school. My prayers are with his family. RIP John

Being the youngest new hire at the newly opened Shakey's Pizza, I worked Christmas day, New Years Eve and New Years Day.  Fun job for the 2 1/2 years it was in business.  God's plan, as I met my wife Ida there when she came in with some friends.  46 years last Sept 1!  Happy New Year to all of you!

To Coach Roch's dismay, I was probably living the "eat, sleep, ski...." repetition.wink

I was working as a busboy at the Draught & Sirlion in North Syracuse, it was the wildest night I had ever been part of, the place was packed, everybody was past drunk, and these were our parents and one teacher. I was stuck there past midnight, trying to keep people out of the dinning room side which was closed. It did not work, when we cleaned up the next day we found ALL types of clothes that were left behind. It made Animal House look like a church social. That was a New Years eve, I will never forget.

Happy belated New Years to all.  50 Years ago, wow that's surely a long time ago.  After graduating, I started working constructiion during the summers.  Tried OCC, but for several reasons it was not my desitiny.  No regrets, that's for sure.

Fifty years ago in January 1970 I was still in school. I was looking forward to graduating from Cicero High & attending OCC in Aug.  I didn't have a regular job until I finished attenging OCC in 1972. For extra money I did a lot of babysitting. Seemed like every weekend I was babysitting. Ddidn't make a lot of money but I was happy & content to make something. One of the  couples I babysat for had a business in their home Janitorial Services when they went on vacation they hired me to take phone calles & take their messages. Made me feel important.

I was also probably babysitting New Yeas Eve 50 yrs. ago !

Hi Kelly, Rod and David, I was definitely on that trip to NYC to see Schiller's Maria Stuart. I remember being out in Times Square in the evening and going by a Konditerei-spelling may be off- a German bakery. It was a fabulous trip and after working in public schools in Michigan for 40 years--I realize how truly amazing it was to have that opportunity in high school. Hope to see all of you at the 5oth reunion in September. Anne
