Looks like the summer  is still the preferred time of year for the 50th!

Appreciate all the feedback.

Will try to set the date asap. Get to work finding missing classmates!

If each participating person finds just one other person to join we will double the attendance!

Don't know who may have noticed but we have lost 2 of our teachers in the last 6 months. Mr Bizwanger, and Mr Godleski. I remember both and was surprised to find out neither was that much older than we are !!

I remember both of those teachers.Too young to pass!

Hinderwadels will not reserve any dates until they take care of past clients.

Will try again but doubt we can reserve far ahead. We have some time but always good to keep it

In perspective.

Hope everyone has a great Memorial Day! Thank a Vet!

Hi! I definitely think summer is best.  How about we set the date. If we can't get Hinerwadels then it's not hard to create a clamback at a park. Just cook the clams and corn and potatoes, throw on some hamburgers and hotdogs and you've got a clambake.  I never got to go to Hinerwadels either but being together is what's important. I missed the 45th but I'm definitely not missing the 50th (or the 60th or the 70th too!  )

Someone posted opening up Friday night to other classes. I vote for that. And dancing sounds really fun!  Can we play volleyball or softball at the picnic?  Do some active things?  Looking forward to seeing everyone.

The Spinning Wheel Restaurant also does clam bakes.  Can't remember the name of the road that it's on, but the road is off of Taft Rd.

I believe that the Spinning Wheel is on Thompson Road

Add History Teacher John Schuler to the list of those that have given their last homework assignment and gone to the great classroom in the sky!!!

Spinning Wheel is on Thompson Rd., just North of Taft Rd,

Glad the forum page is finally being used!

Let's hear some more news!

I remember Jack Godleski as a teacher and a friend.  Following college and the service, he hired me as an Agway Petroleum plant manager.  Jack always had a smile for those around him and, although it was sad to have seen him so ill when I happened by his front porch a year or so ago, his zestful spirit was still shining through in that smile.  I'll always remember him, when seeing an unattentive student, throwing chalk at the Roxboro venetian blinds and the racket scaring the hell out of those not seeing it coming - what fun!

So I am tempted to go ahead soon and set the date for our 50!

Then I remember that I do not even buy green bananas now!

Stay tuned and if you want a certain date let's hear from you.

When we're 80, time will pass so fast that green bananas will be fine if purchased 4 years ahead of time...

Very sad to report that Peter Rinella has passed away.

My thoughts and prayers are with his family and close friends.

Regardless of one's take on our most recent election results, to make America great again, it will take more than policies, it will take a united renewal of LOVE and RESPECT among at least a majority of our fellow citizens...BE THE LIGHT!

John, thanks again for starting and maintaining this web site for all of us.  It has been great to go back East and see many friends at the reunion.  Those times would not have existed without your drive and commitment.  I look forward to the 50th -just 4 years away.  Wow, all of you are getting old.   To all, have a wonderful and Happy Thanksgiving.  See you in 4 years, if not sooner.  Ciao.

I agree Sam.  We are better together.  What we hold in unity is stronger than our differences!  See you all in 4 years.  Happy Thanksgiving!
