Peter Gordon Good was born in Winnipeg on June 8, 1940, the only child of Gordon and Agnes (Haskett) Good. During WWII, his father served overseas in the Canadian Army, and rose to the rank of Major. His mother relocated with Peter to North Vancouver in 1941, and worked in the Burrard Dry Dock shipyards until the war ended.

Peter was eternally grateful to be living on the West Coast of British Columbia, which he proclaimed was the best part of the best country in the world. As a young man, he excelled in sports: baseball, football and rugby, and had the topographically interesting nose to prove it. He graduated from Delbrook High School in 1958, and embarked on a year-long solo trip hitchhiking around the world. After completing his degree at UBC, he taught in West Vancouver, and later in Langley Schools, where he was a teacher and an administrator for nearly 30 years. He was an innovative, dedicated and compassionate educator.

In Peter's retirement, he continued his passion for the BC Lions, boating, fishing, hunting and spending family time on Galiano Island. He enjoyed wonderful trips to Mexico, Costa Rica, Japan, Great Britain, Singapore, Alaska, nine of the Eastern MLB stadiums, and a memorable tour of the Canadian Battlefields in Europe, retracing the sites of his Dad's wartime experiences. During his last decade, he endured several health challenges, and he recuperated each time with grace and optimism. His exuberance and his love of life was contagious.

Peter is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn; his cherished daughters, Samantha (Mike) and Allison (Kale); his dear son, Peter (Akiko); granddaughters, Emma, Hannah, Sophia, Bree and Aya; Carolyn's daughters, siblings, and grandchildren, and his cousins in Manitoba.
