Melissa Hutchinson Theil

I retired from Duke Clinical Research Institute in 2011 where I managed and monitored clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry. Living on my idyllic horse farm in Cary, NC was like having a mini vacation every day but progress came so I have a new home in the woods of Chatham County further out in the country.
During my working years I was lucky to have been able to travel the world and live in Austria and Germany. I still love to travel and am a nature/travel photographer. After retirement, I've been to India, Mongolia, Alaska, Africa 3 times, the western US many times as well as Florida, Ecuador, Chile,..planning to go to Costa Rica, Bolivia, Borneo and Africa (again) in 2022 if Covid permits and my ancient body holds up.

I also keep busy with cat rescue, going on local photo shoots, giving (Zoom mostly these days) talks to local camera clubs, creating, judging and competing in Photocrowd.com photography contests. I know some of you live in North Carolina - let's have a mini-reunion.
