Yes Dan you're going to be sorely missed but I understand. Just driving this far isn't the fun it used to be whether or not it was ever fun. I have can relate to your lovely lady on the anxiety issues! The first one I had I drove myself to the ER,I can't imagine being in a car on a road trip with this happening. Oh by the way I actually got an Email from Peter J.Crompton ! He was actually going to be at the party but he has some health issues that he's having looked at. First I've heard from him in over 50 years.

I pray all will be well.  Has anyone seen Madylyne I have not been able to go see her?  I have had my own issues.

Thanks Gary. It's nice that Pete made contact.  I sure hope his health issues aren't serious.

If you see Madalyn, Connie, please tell her I send my warm wishes and a big hug.  I have always liked Madi.

The silence is deafening -- I sure hope the lack of reporting on the party, isn't because everyone is nursing a hang over.  Seriously, I hope you all had a wonderful and momentous time.  Wish I could have been there. I hope we will see some photos.

The party was great.  I don't think that I missed talking to anyone.  Great to see people and tallk with them.  The bartender was lonely not many bought drinks and no one was drunk that I know of.  I was happy Tawna Layne sat with us.  The committee did a great job planning.

Dan, the ONLY way the 80th Birthday Party Celebration could have been better is IF you, as well as others, could have been there.  We had a total of 91 and 62 of them were our very own classmates.

The band played some softer mingling music at first; and after dinner, they got a little bit more boisterous. BUT then so did some of us in the crowd. Maybe some thought it was a bit too loud, because a few left early. Others put up with it; they just needed to get up close and personal to talk.

A few classmates went home a little bit richer after their names were drawn for  the presents that were given  out. Val Lasko was lucky and got 2 $2 bills that could eventually be worth quite a good sum. Carol Sorenson Plowman took home the BIGGEST present.

The food was good, and I only know this because I heard no complaints. But then, I was also told that the Salmon was about the best that she had ever eaten.

When it was time to light the candles, all of the classmates left were told to make their own personal wish. Mine was that we ALL STAY HEALTHY and be able to attend the 65th Reunion in 2027.

It was a HUGE success by all accounts.  The best get-together ever.

Oh Great!  I'm very happy to hear that everyone had a good time.

Thank you for the comments, Clara, I know you were a principle in the organizing - much appreciated.  Thank you for staying in touch

Gary and Connie, thank you for your comments.  It's the next best thing for being there.

Did Dennis/Lynn have a slide presentation.  Did anyone make a movie of the festivities?  That would really be nice to see.

Dan H.

The PowerPoint slideshow presentation was NOT all that it could have been.

There were only a small handful of the pictures that were received displaying during our event. AND thanks to Charlene Price Tschaggeny, we were even able to see those.

The PowerPoint was supposed to automatically change photo screens every 9 seconds. That was not functional and they were only displaying when Charlene would change them from one to the next.

Unfortunately, all of the pictures received were not even available for her to select from. I promise that it will be better for the next event, because we did receive some wonderful pictures.

Well, it is what it is, things happen and some things may go wrong, BUT the 80th Birthday Party was GREAT and apparently some classmates were having such a good time that they didn't notice or overlooked what was happening with the slideshow.

I thought that everything went well I loved the slides and could look at them. Thanks Dennis. I was talking with Lasko about his picture and about some of his adventures as a helicopter pilot in Nam. Even into Cambodia. Great party.

Hey Pete, I can send you over 75 pictures that I have available on my iPad that were received from classmates. Some were shown in the PowerPoint presentation and the majority were not. Unfortunately, I don't have access to ALL of the ones that Dennis received though.

I hope that you won't mind the multiple number of emails that I will be sending your way. I will try to include as many photos as possible in each email.

It's good of you to offer your services and keep this site up and running. Even though a lot of classmates do not post information, quite a few are reading posts and looking at the photos, obituaries, etc, that is available here. THANK YOU, you are appreciated.

I have been to see Madelyn she is well and still in a wheel chair.  If anyone has time she would love a visit.  This is the phone number for Sandstone 8019512273.  Address 523 North Main in Bountiful.  Her phone was set on slent call so  her phone does not ring.  I asked the aides to help her with her phone. Someone please give Ferrin Wimer the number.

Am I the only one who sees a fly land in the kitchen, go get the fly swatter; when returning with the swatter, can't find the fly again?  The flies are super at evading the swatter!
