I almost forgot to wish my Chinese friends a happy 'Double Ten Day'.  

October 10th is a special holiday for the Chinese, at least the ones I lived and worked with.

I had someone on Facebook tell me they wanted to read my memoirs.  I'd better get started, compiling my dozens of stories shared over the past 10 years.

I just called the Sandstone Nursing facility where Madalyn Leonardi Norton is staying (repeating Connie's posted number -  Sandstone 8019512273.  The receptonist was very nice and gave me a number for her room, which is 801-951-1724.  Madalyn apparently just left to play Bingo.  

I said "I guess if she's going to play bingo, she must be doing pretty well?"  The Receptionist said she's doing fine.   I told her who I was and just wanted to touch base and hopefully cheer her up some.  She (the receptionist) said that Madaln's sister and brother visit often. 

Obviousy her condition is privledged medical information, but hearing of her going to play bingo is encouraging.

I'll give her a call later on.

I ascribe to the doctine that a site like this should be A-political; however, in light of the dire conditions we find ourselves in our beloved United States, I must say: if Trump is not re-elected, I will seriously consider moving back to Bolivia.  We're in deep trouble.  I've even considered flying my flag upside down (as did the wife of Justice Clarence Thomas - Ginni Thomas). Flying the flag upside down signals distress -- for which we are, in our country.

Please PLEASE vote!

(P.S. Justice Thomas has been the object of terrible political attacts for his wife exercising her right to 'freedom of speech').
