In my humble opinion our country is in the worst shape ever no matter who wins!

It is sad situtation we are in.  I pray Trump will be elected. Kamalla is a communist her father is a marist but the news does not say anything.  My husband and I participated in the Senoir game in shooting we both won gold.  It wa a good experience.

Excellent!  It brings back some shooting exercise memories I've been part of.  Great memories, and I sure thank you for relating your story Connie, Thank you.

My wife and I pray for Trump and his family's safety every day.

It is sad so many people are blinded it tells you how hard the adorsary is working.  It started when they took prayer out of the schools.  We need to be prayerful.  We need to have gratitude.

Amen to everything you said.

Do any of you play the Publishers Clearing House games?  I just surpassed 500-million tokens! It has taken awhile, and it's probably my biggest time wasting activity.

Your right Dan my wife said that same thing

It's so nice to see all of the wonderful stories and interaction on this site.

It's really good to see it bloom more I think that our party has helped.

10/24/24 11:26 PM #1729

Daniel Hutchinson

Gary, I said that tongue-in-cheek.

No comments about Madalyn, no pictures from the party, and virtually no meaningful comments to my posts.  I've said several times, that I'm giving up on this site.  I'll check in from time-to-time but really getting tired of trying to stimulate activity/dialog.  It saddens me that there aren't some who could make contributions, yet nothing!  I guess I didn't miss anything by missing the party after all.sad

You haven't got any pictures of the party yet!? I didn't take my phone so I don't have any pictures but it was really fun. There were some good pictures of you Dan.

Thanks Gary, you are the main contributer, which is appreciated.  We get a few one-liners from others, but nothing to provide insight into their lives, families or views on posted comments and/or cartoons.  I guess the classmates in general are getting too old to see or type.  Of course that could be the excuse for the entire time we've had this nice writing platform (what has it been 10-years plus?), to connect us and catch up on what people have done and experienced over the past 60 years.

It could be since I left and spent 36 years of my life in foreign countries, missing out on family gatherings/dinners, not enjoying Christmas' or other memorable family events; whereas, most of our classmates have lived relatively normal lives, and don't feel like there's much to talk about.  I've said many times, 'we all have a story' yet no one, seems to care.

We are all now living an existence where we have much time on our hands without too much to do, again no one seems to take the time to take pen in hand and say anything.  I find it a sad thing to not want to share something of our lives, with people we supposedly care about, including classmates.

With the exception of a couple of you, I think I'm alone in having these feelings or desire to share with one another.  It's really too bad.  Then again, we've lived this long without communicating, I suppose we cam finish out our lives without making that connection.  It's kinda sad, don't you think?

Incidentally, I voted a straight Republican ticket, and hope you folks do too, with the exception of Mitt Romney.  He's switching to the Democrat party anyway, and has for all intents an purposes been a Democrat for years.  Coming from Massachusetts it is understandable.  Mass. is the California of the East.

You realize the Communist Party of the United States stopped putting forth a candidate for president starting with Obama; saying the Democrat party now has the platform accomplishing everthing we stand for.

I firmly beieve we all have the God given right to believe and vote how we wish, but I also believe anyone who wants to perpetuate the terrible policies into the future over what we've seen the past four years, should step back and do some serious evaluations about what our country stands for and how we need to preserve our Constitutional republic.

To all my military friends and families: When you go to the polls please keep in mind what Trump said about the military. He said you are a bunch of "Losers & Suckers!" I cannot with good conscience vote for that liar and crook but I can't vote for Harris either....A Real Dilemna!

10/25/24 05:10 PM #1734

Daniel Hutchinson

That "suckers and Losers" comment has already been debuncked.  Many times the mainline news media and the Democrat party take things out of context and make it sound different than what was actually meant.

If you want to see things get better, there is no choice.  But, it is important to vote.

News is owned by democrates.  You notice they are writing articles or commenting on the news that Kamall Harris is a communist and her father is a marxist.  I have no faith in the news media.  My husband is a disabled vet and he does not want our country run by people who want to shut our country down.  Thi no the country George Wahington saw he was a religious man.  He prayed and asked for guidance his soldiers prayed stayed sober and clean as he did.  OPur country i founded on correct principles.  Read D&C 101:80.  Does it look like a christain country?  I am tired of the lies and untruths.  I pray that our country will be protected and guided.  Kamalla wants to throw away the constitution fact check.

Thanks Connie, As a disabled Vet myself, I appreciate all that you shared with us.  We need to have Trump back in the drivers seat.  Unfortunaely, four more years is NOT enough time to root out, the putrid swamp dwellers, -- Deep state folks who have been running our country for a long time.  Trump's first four years exposed him to all of the corruption, which he barely got started to root out and clean things up.. It is a huge undertaking and a tremendous amount of opposition.  There are too many weilding the power and a great deal of money to blunt Trump at every turn.  This is what makes him the ideal man to tackle this humongus mess.  The deep state is very real.  With Trump not having any allegience to any of these power brokers, does make him the perfect man to tackle the job.  If nothing else, he will have most all of the corruption surfaced for 'we the people' to see the depth of the problem, and hopefully whom ever follows Trump can continue to clean things up, thus making huge strides in returning us to a Godly nation.

Additionally, I know that Trump prays and loves this country, and wants us to return to the values we need, and what most of us long for...

Noting this is the anniversary when Robert S, McNamara took over the Ford Motor company..  It reminded me of Tod Maltby asking me to critique the movie "Fog of War", which was several years ago.  Most of my critique, or rather the movie was narrated by Robert S. MacNamara.  One thing I have always thought unusual was MacNamara's parents giving him the middle name of "Strange"; no joke his middle name was 'Strange'.

Dr Stranglove. He kept the war going.

Yes, at the behest of President Johnson.

He did everything that he could do to encourage Johnson when L.B.J was having second thoughts though didn't he?

Actually, most of us in  the military didn't think too much of MacNamara.  When he was named Secretary of Defense, under President Kennedy; Kennedy wanted to end hostilties in Viet Nam and bring the troops home.  MacNamarra shared that same desire.  After Johnson took the reigns, he is the one who wanted to keep it going.  Some of his quotes (Johnson) showed his being more of the war monger.  MacNamarra had the principled idea that he was there to serve the desires of the president, thus he did escalate the war.  In all fairness he would rather have ended it long before.  I didn't like MacNamarra personally; I think he was an elistist, with a huge ego and thought he was always smarter than anyone else.  But, again in fairness, he didn't want to perpetuate the war in Viet Nam.
