Just had a great 60th birthday party (thanks to my sis) with friends Jan, Molly, Betty, Joan, Stephanie, Larry and a party crasher named Sandy Lint.  We had a lot of fun and have been enjoying getting together for everyone's 60th.

Ron and I just moved to Beaumont, CA or should I say Blowmont.  Anyway, after being in Chino Hills for 27 years it just felt like it was time to move on.  We have our home in Indiana and wanted to move to a gated community so we wouldn't have to worry about our house while being away for a few months at a time.  It is quite a change but so far we are enjoying it.  We didn't sell our home in Chino Hills and we are going to be renting it to friends.  Hopefully the market will get better in a few years.  We are in a 55 and over community called the Four Season's by K. Hovnanian.  If anyone is out this way give me a call and come visit.

The November 26th get together sounds good.  The price is definitely right.

Hi everyone and hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. This year is my year of firsts since my husband passed so I spent 3 days at one of Disney Resorts in Anaheim for Thanksgiving.....different for sure but was able to spend some quality time with my son. I just got my passport for the first time. My first trip will be to London in February...yes I know it will be cold but who could pass up a free trip....it is nice having friends who work for an airline...had a wonderful visit with Lynn while she was down here along with Phyllis, Pat Hamilton and Lorene and her daughter April. We need to get together more often....anyway just thought I would check in here....it has been months....Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas...

Please keep Marcia Kraft-Barringer and her family in your thoughts.  Her father-in-law passed away Saturday night.  He was my next door neighbor in Paramount growing up and was a wonderful person.

First before I forget, does anyone know how Linda Bolton is doing with her foot and the infection? Thoughts and prayers still going out to you Linda.

Had a great time at Toms Farms with some of the girls, I appreciate them coming all that way out to visit, we had a good time.

After a few days in CA my dad and I headed to Laughlin, NV for our family reunion. It was wonderful to see family, but also very sad not to have my mom there with us. She was the pillar in our family, my dad and I have become very close buddies and that has been something I have cherished each and every moment. God is amazing at how he works in our lives, my husband was still working out of town which allowed me the time to travel with my dad down south.
My trip to Laughlin ended up with a great ride in the ambulance after a horrible fall in the parking lot, and NO I wasn't even drinking. Thank goodness my husband had surprised me and showed up because he got to ride in the ambulance with me. So I spent most of the Family Reunion day in Bull Head city at the hospital there. Had a CAT scan, they were pretty sure I broke my hip but walla it was just bruised, so left with a bruised hip, ribs, and low back. So, the ride back home to Idaho was a long one.

Trying to get into the Christmas spirit has been rough this year, as I know it has for many of our other classmates. You are all in my thoughts, Carol you are always at the top of my list with Lorene and Maurene.

I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas this year and remembers what Christmas is all about. I miss my mom so much it hurts to even type it, but then I think about how she is getting to spend her CHRISTmas with Christ, how much better does it get?  I love you Mom and miss you past the moon and back.

Shame on me.  It seems I am always posting bad news and never posting anything good.  Linda is much better and is back to work.  She'll always have the open wound on the sole of her foot, but the staph infection seems like it is gone (this was on the top of her foot).  She is in her regular funky orthopedic shoes and glad to be so.  Linda really appreciates your thoughts and prayers.  She is such a good person, sometimes to a fault (if there is such a thing).

Pat,

Thanks for the update on Linda, so glad she is doing so much better. I had a great conversation with Pat Denham last night, it was just so nice to chat away.  We have all been a blessed class to be able to re-connect with one another even if it's thru computer space it's still connection.

My three sons, will all be here with their families on Dec. 22 for our Christmas, finally they will all be off on the same day. Actually one had to take a day off, I am very excited that I will have all the kids here especially this first Christmas without my mom.  My dad is on his way back up, he left Parker, AZ this morning.

I hope the rest of you have a wonderful Holiday Season and a very Merry CHRISTmas.

Just asking for everyones prayers for Dottie Abler, she is having a rough time of it. Her husband hasn't been doing very well, this is a horrible disease and one that not many people really understand. I have been so blessed to be able to stay in contact with Dottie, and we have been great support for one another.  My dad even let us give Joel my moms motorized scooter, so my husband and I drove to WY to deliver it to them. It was great to see her and meet Joel he was doing so much better then.

Please do all you can to help support this horrible disease Alzheimers, when ever you have the chance.

Love you all my PIRATE friends.

Hi Billie Jo Miller,

I am on the phone with Mrs. Hughes, who has been trying to find you. She has called information but had no idea what town you lived in.  She has this great desire to find you and talk to you my friend.

So, just thought I'd drop a line.

Merry Christmas

Love,

Lynne

PHS CLASSMATES, this is a painting done by Joanne Hughes's niece Katrina that lives up here near me and she sent me a copy.  Isn't it amazing?

Miss you Joanne and love you past the moon.

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes and no, Lynne you are not the oldest.  Fred T. I think is 62 already!!!  I did edge you out his month as I turned 61 on the 14th. (But who's counting anyway?)

Something a little more relevant is my planned surgery for the 27th.  I'm scheduled to have a laparoscopic Splenectomy to correct a condition called ITP or Thrombocytopenia Pupura.  Sounds nasty doesn't it?  It just means I have an unusually low platelet count and after chasing this around for the last year and a half I have found some doctor's in Fresno that are confident with this procedure.

Should be in the hospital for about 2-3 days and home watching football.......ur... I mean convalesing for another 7 days or so.

Well, at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it!  See you all at the next BIG reunion or on the other side. (Just Kidding- geez)
