Glenn, good luck with your surgery. You will be in my prayers as all of you always are.

Hope you all had a blessed Christmas and will have a safe New Years.

Well how cool is this!  The first post for 2011 on the Message Forum.  I guess that will happen when you are just supposed to be sitting around an convalescing.  So since the surgery to remove my Spleen.  (Which was nothing more that a 24 hour in & out of the hospital.) I'm starting to get my fill of football and movies on demand or Red Box.  My platelet count turned around immediately and actually doubled while I was in the hospital.  It still has a long way to go to normal but it is going in the right direction.  Thanks for all of your prayers and good thoughts during this most unusual time for me. (First surgery in my life!)

Trying to be a good patient!

Glen,  so glad that things turned out so well after your surgery.  No better person to start off the New Year with the first message on the forum.

My hopes are for all of us to have the best New Years Ever, I know last year was really rough on a lot of us.

Hello all,

Rosa and I went to Reno last week. Visited our friends, Gary and Lorie Buice.  I've seen him more this year than I have for the past five years put together.  As you can see, he keeps himself busy reading. Hope that some of us will get together again this May or June.

Good Sunday Morning Classmates,

Raining here in Idaho with a big thaw, we have been pumping water out of our crawl space for days non-stop seems to be a yearly thing. Our poor neighbors three of them are doing the same thing, but one who has a downstairs basement has the water at least 6 inches in his house.  My husband has gone down to help him set up pumps and squeegie out as much as they can.  We are thinking and pretty sure it all has to do with the new road they put in a few years ago and messed up the natural water flow. ANYWAY

My reason for writing is I've been having horrible nightmares since my mom passed away, but last night I had a bad dream about Robin but it all turned out well and she was better than ever.  I'd just like to ask anyone that talks to her to please check on her and make sure she is OK?

Today's football game our Seattle Sea Hawks will be playing in Chicago so you can guess who this girl is rooting for.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday of rest.

Love,
Lynne

It sounds as if some people might be up for a small get-together.  I wouldn't mind volunteering my house but it will not accommodate a large crowd and I don't have a back yard or den for overflow.  Let me know who may be interested in a get-together.  Also if anyone has other ideas for a "free" venue let me know.

Lynne, the Seahawks made it further than anyone expected but it all ended in Chicago today.   The snow is melting fast.

Lynne,

Here's a suggestion...Why don't you call Robin?  Why don't you check up on Robin?  I know that Robin called you when Marty Jr was in the hospital and I also know that Robin sent a sympathy card with a note when Lynne's Mom, Grace, passed away.  Sometimes folks get tired of giving all the time.

Hi Tom, I thought for sure our Seahawk's were going to be able to pull out of it. We are having a lot of flooding under our house the pump has been going 24/7. I hope you are doing OK up north, it's been a heck of a winter.

Lorene, I couldn't agree with you more.

Hi Classmates,

I've had emails and phone calls regarding another Pirates event this summer here in Vegas.  I don't mind putting it together, however we need to have at least 60 attendees to get a decent rate.  It would be nice to see everyone again and catch up with everyone.  Think about it and if we can pull it off with enough Pirates we'll give it a go.  Please send me and email either thru this site or to my personal email of stuandpeg@cox.net  or you can call me at 702-839-1221 if you are interested and I will make some calls and see what kind of a rate we can get and go from there.  Last year the cost was $65.00 per person which included a great buffet dinner and a great DJ & dancing.  The rooms were around $70.00 per nite.  This was held at The Golden Nugget - I would guess that the cost would be somewhere around the same as last year.

Hope everyone had a great New Years.

Carol, you are so right we all do need to stay in touch.  I was really lucky this past week after about 35 years finally got in touch with Linda Hanna.  It was wonderful to talk with her again we not only walked to school to gether also worked at Iceland together.

Let all of know if you or Pat put something together when the weather warms up.  That would be fun.
