Don, Not sure what the 45th reunion will be but pretty sure not a cruise.  The cost may be prohibitive for too many people.  Maybe we should plan something for next year.  Marcia Kraft-Barringer and I are interested.

I just read on Facebook that Rudy Flores has a baby grandson that is in need of a heart transplant. There is a web site on Facebook you can check out, they are going to have a fund raiser Feb. 11 I believe a golf tournament in Temecula. Please check out facebook and see if my information is correct. Many donations are needed to help with medical bills.

This was sent to me by Neta Johnson Anderson , I'm posting it just the way it was written.

Hi Neta. This is going to be short. Remember Rudy Flores; my boyfriend in the 11th grade?  He has a baby grandson who needs a heart transplant to survive!! Sending the following website; please look at it and send it to as many people  whether they know him or not, ok?  www.mikeysheart.com  Such a sad story. I will be at the fundraiser on the 11th of Feb. in Temecula. Hope all is well with you. Happy New Year! Love u, Kathi

Hi Joe,

So good to see you back on the forum.  Looking forward to seeing you in June and having some fun.

Phyllis,

Thank you for letting us know about Rudy Flores' grandson.  We viewed the pics of little Mikey and he is just adorable and so sad to see all the things he was hooked up to in the hospital.  Our prayers are with little Mikey and the family that he will get his heart soon.

Billie,

Loved the new pics of the grandkids.  Katie is just getting so big.  Thinking of you and can't wait to see you and Bob.

Hi Peggy,

I finally updated my profile with a few new pictures of the grandchildren, Katie is getting to be quite a big girl these days, although she will always be the "baby" to us.

Thanks for your efforts to pull a party together in Las Vegas this summer for classmates, Bob and I will try our best to attend this year.

Lynne and Phyllis thanks for sharing the information about our classmate Rudy Flores.  It would be wonderful if we could all do a little something to help the family through this crisis.

Blessings to all,

Billie

Hi Billie,

Thanks for the response back about Mrs. Hughes, I know she will love talking to you but plan on spending a great deal of time on the phone...lol

I love the new photos of your grandkids, they are all growing up so fast.  Mine are doing the same. I have posted so many photos of Facebook and keep forgetting to load them on PHS site.  I will have to do that soon, my Paige is driving and dating now. ICK  I thought she wasn't going to date until she was 21 what ever happend to that idea?  lol

Thank you for the condolences for my Mom, yes I miss her more than anyone realizes, she was my best friend and buddy. I talked to a counselor last month because I just didn't think I could take it any longer, it was the best thing I could have done, as I am doing so  much better now. I am thankful she is in Heaven and no longer in the state of confusion and pain.

I have become very active with the Alzhiemers Asso. and enjoy bringing awareness to others.  Dorothy Smaller-Abler and I have become very close and talk weekly and my husband and I even made a trip to visit them. We must all keep her in our thoughts and prayers, things are getting very rough at this point in Joel's life.

I will try to post photos soon.

Love ya, Lynne

Connie, I'm so glad your daughter is doing well.  It's wonderful news.

Lynne, I agree, the grandchildren are growing so fast!  I probably should be active on Facebook since that's where most people update their profile, pictures, etc., just haven't had the desire to set-up my profile (too lazy).  Glad to hear you are doing better these days --it's difficult to lose a loved one, the grief process is painful, and can feel never ending at times, but it does get better with each passing day, hang-in there, better days are ahead.  I plan to call Mrs. Hughes this week, I'll make sure to have plenty of time available to chit-chat, lots to catch-up on.  Thanks again for passing along her phone number.

Connie, we rooted for the PACKERS last night, what an awesome win!  I can only imagine the homecoming planned for their return today.  How wonderful that your daughter is doing so well --that's a true blessing.

My middle son married a woman who was 4 yrs older than him, she has three kids the oldest is 24 and he and his wife just found out they were going to have their first child, now that is going to make me a great grandma.  Wow I know I'm just a step great grandma but still it kinda makes me feel really old.

Anyone else out there a great grandparent yet???

I am happy to have children! One of those "children" asked me a couple of years ago, to stop mentioning grandchildren, that the pressure is not appreciated. So now when I buy a cute little outfit, or toy I just don't mention it to them and quietly hope my turn will come. Just hope it comes before I can't be team grandma!

Myrtha, We're in the same boat.  By the time I have grandchildren I'll be using a walker & sitting in my rocking chair watching soap operas with drool hanging from my chin.

Speaking of Joetta, hope you have a great birthday.

Yes I have 3 Great-Grand sons...ages 6, 3 and 2.....I was a grandmother at age 33....when I married my husband he had three children from his first marriage....you think grand kids are fun wait till the great grand kids come along......If it were not for the great grand son's this past Christmas I would not have had a tree or even celabrated ....I was just going to skip Christmas all together....they came over for a visit and decided Grammy need a tree so we went shopping for the tree together and they picked it out and brought it home...

I just re-read my last post.  When I said speaking of Joetta, I was referring to her birthday not the rocking chair & drool comment.

Hope everyone is surviving winter, it is about 10:00 PM Feb. 25, 2011 and it is now -5 degrees here in Idaho. I love it, just throw another log on the fire and snuggle up that's the best part.

I'm ready for winter to be over.  I'm tired of being cold and having to crank up the snow blower. The softball team I play for we were planning our touraments and talking about when we will be able to practice but the snow has to melt first.

OMG... just got a chance to catch up on the forum.

First of all, Pat u crack me up!  I didn't read it that way at first, but I guess it could have been interpreted that way.  All I could think of is the visual! That was funny enough.

Secondly, yes Marcia, I am a great-grandma and have been for 5 1/2 years... and there are no step-children involved... all are biological.  Brings to mind "child bride"... or fertile Myrtles, I don't know which is worse!

Anyway, thanks for the birthday wishes.... had a week long celebration, lots of eating, playing games with the little kids and traveling.  Got to spend time with each one of my children and grandchildren, unfortunately not all at the same time.

Glad to see we are still checking in every once in awhile to see how everyone is doing.  All the best to everyone....

WELCOME PAULA, so glad to have you back in touch with all of us. This has really been a fun site, especially before the 40th reunion, so  many of us had such fun talking before that reunion.

Hope to hear from you soon.
Love ya,   Lynne

Has anyone heard from our classmate MIKE LAMPMAN, over in Hawaii?  I have heard there has been some damage, just would be nice if we knew he was OK.

Thoughts and prayers to all of those in Japan, and the rest of the coastal foloks in the states.

We have a new guest on our site, Charles Nalley.  He has informed me that he is the Charles N. on Mark Overstreet's 2nd grade class picture and that he went to Alondra Junior High.  He was also able to provide me with some info on Jack Griffiths who I had been unable to find previously. .
