Ok Lynne.  I am ready to see some of those amazing pictures that you post of Idaho and your Christmas preparations.  Bring em on.

Phyllis,

The back yard is supposed to be starting soon. We've been waiting on this guy to do all the concrete removal and all the new concrete. So as soon as the yard is done, it is party time once again. I want to make it all tropical with a pond on the other side of the yard. My hope and desire is to find a home for the Mccaw or find a home outside for it.

Phyllis, the strange thing is that you worked so close to my house and where I worked for all those years. Of course our office moved several years ago and we are now off Hidden Valley and Hamner in Norco, it is still close to where you used to work. In fact that time I ran into you in Albertson's well our office is behind the Target shopping center.

Take care one and all!

Love,

Lorene

Lorene, for the longest time, my office was on Rincon, right down the street from the Marie Callender's.  Then we moved to the opposite side of the 91 freeway  off Magnolia, right behind the Lowe's.  I was in that office till I retired at the end of 2010,  My daughter works there now and lives about a mile from the office.

Phyllis,

i would loe to post photos but I don't remember how to do it, all my photos are now on my phone. It's very easy to post them on FB but not on here for some reason. I would probably bore everyone to death with all ,y bragging.

i just finished all of my Christmas shopping and tonight well actually all day, I finished wrapping everything !!!

Lorene, if we lived by you Martin would bring his tractor over and help Roland get things strted, nd he could help build your pond. I hope I will be able to make the next party at your house!!!!

Love You Guys

Lynne, do you have a memory stick that you could download the pics from you phone onto? If so, I think that would be the way to go, then you could choose them off of it from this site.

Does anyone have any information on Sue Hamel?  I have been searching for her for years and think I have gotten close, but then lose the trail.  if anyone has any information about her from after we graduated that I can use as a starting point I'd sure appreciate it if you let me know.  As many of you know I have been searching for classmates for our class reunions over the years and have been very successful in locating  many our classmates.  I have not given up.  I just take a break for a while, then I start up again.  I am relentless.

Yes, Happy Birthday Mike.

Are we going to start using this site more?  I don't mind, but have a bigger audience for my life stories on Facebook.

Hi Phyllis

As soon as I finish up my Christmas cards and a few more things I will sit down at the big computer and try to upload some new photos. I have really missed our class site, I am guilty of getting wrapped up in FB. My excuse was because it had a specific person that followed the police scanner and kept me updated on my son.  BAD I know....speaking of...tonight at 5:00 or 5:30 on COPS Spike channel my son Jeff is supposed to be on again. Nick might get a kick out of it.

OK....back to cards.

Love, Lynne

Oh, I need to do cards too.  Now where did I put those cars that I bought on sale after Christmas last year?  Hmmmmm

Hey Phyllis and Everyone Else,

Thanks for reminding me about our site here.  I used the facebook site so much this year I almost forgot about this site.  I do like this site but the facebook site seems more accesible since I use facebook each day.

I hope all is well with you and others who read this message.  I've been working a bit more, substituting, and volunteering in the community.  We spent a week up in Reno and then Davis with our son and daughter.  Visited Gary and Lori Buice twice the past couple of months.  They're doing well.  I'm waiting for Art Salazar to get back to me, we invited him and Cheryl over next Friday.

I didn't buy a PHS class ring, I needed a set of used tires for my "56" Chevy instead.  I'd planned to attend a PHS football game last month, but came down with the flu that day and decided not to expose myself to the cold weather.  Next year.

Take care all.

Mark

Mark,  I just remember all the fun we had when we first started on this site and it was so much more enjoyable than facebook.  And it's just ours.  So I am hoping everyone will check in more and keep  us informed as to what's going on in their lives, especially some who are not on facebook. .

Hello and Happy Holidays to all!

Just a line to let you know I'm still alive and kickin' here in old H.B. Retired back in April and now have plenty of time to fish, take care of the house, fish, take care of my dear old Mom, fish, hang out with my lovely wife, fish, go on vacation, and did I mention FISH?

I really do wish everyone the best in health and happiness and hope you can look back and see what a great life we had going to school together and living long enough to share the memories.

Sincerely,

Mike

Mike, so good to hear from you.   With all the things you have going on, you should really take a little time to fish. Retirement is the greatest, isn't it.?

Phyllis,

I did not realize that your office moved over by Lowes. The CNTA office moved from Rincon around 2002 into a new building next to CTA. CTA decided to build next to CNTA when they found out that we could get a huge piece of property behind Target/Albertsons (now Winco). It's been a great location. Our building was lease to purchase. CNTA purchased the building about 5 years ago. We were leasing the upstairs to Wells Fargo until the market crash in 2009. CNTA has been using it for it's large Rep. Council meetings. We are in the process at the moment with huge makeovers upstairs. Taking down walls, putting walls ups and creating this massive room to accomodate severl hundred teachers for their meetings. The front 1/3 of the building on top was never finished and used by CNTA and CTA for storage. That will be our Phase two of the building project. It's been great with my experience through my dad who was a General Contractor and build schools etc. He always had plans in the house of various jobs, he took me out on the jobs quite a bit and showed me various things. Let's just say he had four daughters and gave them all hammer, nails, tools, baseballs, basketballs etc. Fred Zinn and his brothers, Jimmy & Eddie Miller and Don Hodges and quite a few more other classmates used to play basketball at our house. (the kids that lived in the neighborhood) Oh I miss those days, they were a lot of fun.

I've been busy decorating the house, my mom's house too. I need to put her lights outside out tonight. We have a new grandson that is 3 weeks old. Enjoying every moment of it. Abbey loves her little brother.

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!

Love to ALL!

Lorene

I  would like to wish all of you a very Merry Christmas and a very Bleased New Year, I am not as smart as my Bestie Lorene or Phyllis I making all those pretty cards with my little IPad but my greetings do come from my heart. Let's hope this next year we all have much happiness and great health one of the most precious gifts of all.

Phyllis, do you think it would be OK to add an address book to this site to those that wish to have their addresses on it. That way we could send out cards not only during Christmas but throughout the year. Just a thought, I know some people do not like to publish their address but those who do could partake, what so you think?

Lynne

We could definitely have an address page, but I just have to figure out how to make it first. You know I am technologically challenged.

Carol Maddex (Switzer)

Phyllis I just looked to see if something was already in place to set up for addresses but doesn't look like there is a program on this site....you may have to create your own......or if classmates want their address public to view they can go to their own page and change to public view so other classmates can retreive another classmate address...but I think bottom line is it is up to each classmate to make their own page public....

Lorene, the office I worked in was the talkest building in that complex. It was fine for me goingvto work in the morning because I always went in early. It took me 17 minutes to get to work. Going home and getting on the 15 freeway just before the 91 interchange was a nightmare. I sure do not miss being on the busy freeways. Getting out of trafgic was one of the reasons we moved here to Visalua. It's just such a much slower pace here.I think we made a good choice, even though we did consider moving out of the state at one point.

Hi Carol, I was looking at my own profile page. It doesn't appear that the address can be made public. I think I might need to just try to create a new page somehow. I sent a message to Pat Denham to see if she has any ideas about how to do it. She has way more computer know how than I have.
