Thanks Lynne, A belated Birthday Greeting is just fine. Like I told Steve Tanikawa.....at this age, when I wake up in the morning its a good day.  Glad to hear your son got the vest for his partner. Have you got all your fire wood for the winter?  I know about the winters up there. We don't have to deal with that down here.

Thanks and have a very good day.

Randy

We also have tons of firewood all ready for winter. We sold our house so we plan to travel in our RV then come back and stay at the lake house....where we really need fire wood burrrr....but I still love it up here.

i hope you spent your Birthday at the stadium water skiing away!!!

Love ya, Lynne

Hi Lorene,

I will give you a call soon, spent the day trying to find my dad a new doctor. He has had a horrible cold for a week now. I made him a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup, he looked so pale and so tired it really worries me.

My brother is flying up on Sat. And he will drive back with my dad, we have decided between us that he just can't continue making this trip back and forth all alone, driving a 40ft. RV and towing a flat bottom boat.

i know you understand the worry part!!!

Love you and talk soon!!

I'm also hoping everyone has a wonder Holiday Season and very healthy and prosperous New Years.  I've figured out why as we get older we can't remember crap.  Each year we accumulate more and more memories.  I have wonderful memories of Christmas with family throughout the years, memories of all my elementary school friends and teachers.  I remember being in junior high and childish things we did hovering between childhood and adulthood (hormonally speaking that is).  I have fond and cringing memories of high school, when we start to figure out who we really are and who we'll eventually be.  And then all those poignant memories of falling in love, falling out of love, joyous times of raising children, not so joyous times of raising teenagers.  I remember slights and many kindnesses.  I remember all my friends that go back 60 years to the present, many I still am in contact with (partly thanks to this forum) and many I see regularly.  No wonder I can't remember the 2 items I came to the market to get.  No wonder I can't remember where I hid the Christmas presents I bought 2 months ago, where my car keys are, the dentist appointment I missed.  There just isn't any more room left, the memory banks are full.  But if I had to clean house and get rid of old memories to add new information, I just don't know what I'd want to get rid of.  So when you are looking for those illusive car keys, stop and think about some great memory of a football game or a party you went to as a kid.  You'll never get to where your supposed to be going, but you'll have a pleasant moment.  Isn't that what the rest of our lives should be, pleasant moments?

Well said, dear friend.  I wouldn't want to loose those old memories, either.  We eventually find our keys and if we forget a dentist appointment that must mean we aren't in pain and didn't need to go to the dentist anyway.  I remember all our classmates the way they looked way back when.  Wish I could say the same about the way I see myself!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all my old friends from PHS.

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  We've been out looking at lights for the first time in a couple years.   Videos of our wanderings are on my YouTube page.  We're headed out again this evening.

Our house this year,  The blob on the porch rail says Merry Christmas.  That's what I get for not opening the box and plugging it in when I got it several months ago, :-)

We'll visit Geneva's cousin's for Christmas and this year we're going to the Elks in Yucca Valley with my dad for New Years Bingo.

Stay cool and classy Pirates!

WOW, I didn't realize it had been so long since I checked in.

we spent Thanksgiving with my brother and all my nieces and nephews at the river at his place in Parker, we had a great time playing in the desert. I will never be to old to 4 wheel or sand rail or snow mobile!

HOWEVER, on our way home from Parker in our 40 ft. RV towing my new Tahoe, we were crossing a small bridge and a gust of wind hit us threw us into a guardrail and cement wall. We totaled our rig and minor damage on my new car. I really thought my days were over, I just knew we were going to tip over into that river. Thank God we didn't, but what a scare.

We got home Dec. 14th had Christmas with all our kids, then hit the road for Northern CA to get our New Rig which we purchased on my birthday the 28th! Whoopie what a great Birthday Present for me!!  We are traveling  now on the 101 heading home to the COLD!

I wish you all a very very HAPPY NEW YEAR and MANY BLESSINGS in the New Year!

Lynne

I hope that every one had a very happy and safe New Year. My wish is to try and stay out of the Hospital this year. I want everyone to know that Janice Brown lost her dad two days before Christmas and then lost her mom on New Years. This is a painful time for her so if anyone knows her # give her a call to let her know you care and are thinking of her.    God Bless Love to All Linda

I received the nicest note from classmate Vicki Morley today. She had heard on the news that my son had been in another shooting this one was a very close call as he was cuffing the suspect rolled over and shot at my son, who then returned fired and hit the suspect in the belly. My son and his K9 are fine THANK YOU GOD!!!!!

Thank you to my buddies Lorene and Maurene for always being there for me too.

Life is short HUG THE ONES YOU LOVE!!!!
