October 8-9, 2022

From Tina’s Family: We just posted an invitation to our mom's memorial on her Facebook page. I've also attached a version here. Please pass along to others who might be interested. In addition, we'd appreciate any RSVPs go to, rather than here or Facebook. Trying to keep track of them all so they don't get lost in my spam/other emails in this account! Currently, we will only have street parking, so we recommend carpooling or using Ubers/Lyft/etc. Also, this will be at a farm, so comfortable shoes are a must, and we're going for bright colors. Even me, who always wears black normally. Talk soon, Liz & Emily On Saturday, August 7, 2021, 08:14:17 AM PDT, Liz Martin wrote: Early this morning, our mom passed peacefully at home. Emily and I were with her. Thank you all for your ongoing support and love these last several months. It was the way she wanted to go out and you all helped make that happen. We are tentatively planning a memorial for October 2, here at the farm. If you plan to attend, we recommend you book a hotel as soon as possible as it's a busy season here and hotels are already filling up. Emily will send details in the near future. Below are some local airbnbs available October 1-4 (as of yesterday). I imagine there are Newberg hotel options and many more options in the Portland area as well. I will be sharing a public message on her Facebook feed later this morning. Kevin, Carol, Elizabeth, Susy - could you please share the news with your respective sides of the family? I don't have everyone's email, so would appreciate the help. Kari - do you mind sharing the news on your rotary group email? If anyone has questions, they can reach out to me, 503-810-3292. Text is preferred but I might not answer them right away. Love, Liz &Emily The family established this go fund me page to help the family:

Happy, Healthy, Hopeful Holiday Season

Dear '67 Mates,

As fall has turned to winter and the holiday season is in full swing, we want to wish you a happy, healthy and hopeful holiday. Certainly this is a time of reflection as we look back on an immensely challenging and disruptive year for our families, communities, businesses, and country.  This, too, is a moment to envision the future and explore the path forward in 2021. We are heartened by the prospects of turning the corner on the multiple crises that our society has faced. There are hopeful signs of recovery and renewal on the horizon but many challenges still await us.

We find comfort in staying in touch with you, our friends from long ago... whether it be in-person, virtually or through social media. Many of us have already shared in other historic times of crisis (think back to that day in November of 1963) and we remain hopeful for better days ahead.

Please stay safe, stay well, and, for sure, stay in touch!

Supporting One Another

Dear '67 Mates,

Our hopeful thoughts are with you and your families during this challenging period of unprecedented disruption and uncertainty in our country and around the world. We hope that you are managing this pandemic crisis in safe and healthy ways within your communities and that your friends and loved ones are doing OK. No doubt many of us are dealing with multiple levels of stress and concern within of our professional and personal situations.

This indeed is a time to come together to calm and support one another even while we are into  social distancing and self-isolating predicaments. And for this reason, we want to invite you to stay in touch via email, on our Facebook page, or through a newly created Class Discussion Forum on this web site.  We hope you will find added solace by sharing your stories, perspectives and ideas with your long-ago classmates, many of whom you may have already experienced other national crises such as those very difficult times in November of 1963.

We look forward to hearing back from you. Please don’t hesitate to contact any one of us with your stories, thoughts and suggestions.

Stay safe and stay healthy,
