Joan Kyle, a most loving person. I tell myself this cannot be. This realization hurts very much, my sadness deepens and as I write in tears, I miss you dear friend. We grew up together in Plymouth, attended the same schools, and Joan always had a smile for me as well as a polite hello as we passed in the hallways. I recall her attending our Babe Ruth games on a regular basis behind High-Field Elementary. There on the first base line she sat watching her friends play. I wonder what she thought as I sometimes observed her excitement over some event. Joan chose nursing as a profession, what better way for her to express her love for people by helping those who were ill and in need. I know in my heart her inner being overflowed with love for others. Her life is defined by the words ‘love’ and  ‘care’  and that in tribute to such a loving person we should all be thankful that our Lord had placed her among us even if for this very short time. Can we not love her as she brought so much love to so many others?
