Pat and Renee, you are terrific in keeping up with these deaths and in passing on the news to us.  Because I don't take a newspaper and am somewhat removed from the world I have no way of knowing about these and really do care.  Every person you have shared with us were friends and acquaintances of mine, as well.  I am grateful to still be living and happy to be involved in busy activities but am just a tiny bit jealous that these good people have breached the gap between life here and life whereever thay are now at.  Thank you and thanks to Roma and Steve for getting this site up and running.  Kathleen Parrish

Hey you all out there!! I just wanted to wish all of you who already have, or are soon to, have that "BIG 70" birthday!! , Happpy Birthday!!!  My 70th showed up this past Monday.  Since I am still driving that semi truck and trailer, I celebrated my birthday in Houston, Texas by having an ice cream sandwich, by myself! Today, Saturday the 8th, my wife has a big blast here at home with between 70 and 100 family and friends invited over!   Maybe a little on the big side, but what the heck.  She said I would only have one 70th, so enjoy it!!   She has more energy  than this guy!

Alot of our fellow classmates won't see 70, and that is sad.  I mourn their loss.  But to all of us still around,  enjoy life, every day make the most of it.  Smile alot, be happy.  Do the best you can!  Good luck and may God bless you.  Gene

blush I found where you were hiding!

I tried finding out information on the our class reunion in 2011 and just found out about this place yesterday.

So let me give you a time line of what I have been doing.

1967 Graduated as a LPN from the Pocatello School District St Anthony Hospital.

1973 Graduated as RN from ISU

worked one year at Bingham Memorial Hospital, then the next 16 years at EIRMC in Idaho Falls through that many name changes.

1991-2001 Worked as staff nurse at the INEEL

Retired in 2001 on disability after the third Lumbar spine surgery.

Lived in Idaho Falls, Rigby & Pocatello until I moved to Oregon to be with Mary (my sister) who I have lived with the last 8 years.   We now live in Dayton, WA.

In late 2011 I lost the use of my legs, I finally had a thoracic spine surgery on 12/31/2011 and spent the next 6 days in Intensive Care, and the next 6 months in Rehab both inpatient and outpatient.  I am now able to walk with a walker, but have a wheelchair  as needed.

I showed my dogs until I had to give up showing because I could now walk.

Fellow classmate Sharon Wilde Marler has written and published a book "Lift Me Up The Mike Tolman Story".  I highly recommend the book, it is well written, inspirational, interesting and has a surprise ending.  Order or download from Barnes and Noble or Amazon (you must enter the entire title).  Let's all support Sharon on her first published book.  Congratulations Sharon, job well done.

On the Friday January 16th airing of the Factor with Bill O'Reily there was a segment with inside and oudoor pictures of Poky High.  The topic being allegedly Poky High has ghosts!    I guess this is why we had so much fun.  It was great to see Poky High on the national and international media.  I trust everyone is happy and healthy.  Suzanne Harris    smiley
