Jeff Ferguson, 55 died July 24, 2015 at his home in Provo, Utah. Jeff was born on June 12, 1960 to Allan and Colleen Ferguson. He attended Timpview High School where he graduated in 1978.
He worked for Coca-Cola and helped take care of his father’s businesses. He was a good companion to his mother after his father’s death and has helped many throughout his life.
His is survived by his mother, Colleen Ferguson of Provo, UT; brothers: Kevin Ferguson of Helper, UT, Guy (Cindy) Ferguson of Tucson, AZ; sisters: Kristine (Ken) Chick of Grand Junction. CO, Melanie (Larry) Mair of Orem, UT and many nieces and nephews who loved and cared about him. He was preceded in death by his father, Allan Ferguson.
Funeral Services will be held at the LDS Chapel on 350 E 2950 North, Provo, UT, on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork City Cemetery.

I grew up in the same ward as Jeff and his family and have known him since grade school. I don't ever remember him being unkind to anyone. He was always upbeat and fun to be around. So sorry that he is gone and that we can't catch up on the old Edgemont 3rd Ward days and talk about the greatest ever neighborhood to grow up in.
We'll miss you, Jeff.

I have not seen or spoken to Jeff probably since I left provo after graduation. I remember just goofing off floating down with inner tubes in the river bottoms. and the wild snipe hunt he and other kids took me on when I moved to Provo. Lots of good times to remember. It is hard to believe he is gone.

I was also in the same awesome neighgorhood as Jeff and his family. I remember hanging out at his house and thought he had a great family. Haven't hardly been back to the old stomping grounds since I got married in 84. Wish I had kept in touch more to see how everyone's lives are going and if I could be of any service. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Fergusons and want them to know that they touched my life for the good.

I loved working with Jeff at the Rusty Nail. He was hilarious, and very much a buffereing agent for the tension that can exist between cooks and waitresses on busy nights. I made the mistake of getting in a "toilet papering war" with him and definitely ended up on the losing side when they made a raw pizza on my drive way with raw dough for the "crust" and food garbage for the "toppings"! He was kind to everyone.

I'm sorry to hear about Jeff's passing! I have great memories of Jeff in the Rusty Nail days too and our war games of TP'ed houses, pizza dough rolled on our front porch with scraps dumped on it, water fights in the kitchen after closing... Senior prom in Salt Lake... Neighbors in same apartment complex shortly after high school. Lot's of Laughing with Jeff, he was funny and he was a sweetheart!

Was very saddened to hear of Jeffs passing. We grew up in the same neighborhood. All us kids always had so much fun. Jeff was always such a handsome, kind, and shy friend. I feel lucky to have known him and to have shared my youth with him.

I also grew up just down the street from Jeff and am sorry to hear of his passing. I remember him as being quiet but also fun and really nice. He and his family always treated me as any other kid and not some strange specimen because we were not Mormon. This sticks out as a particular memory for me, and I always appreciated that.

Jeff was a great guy. A lot of us worked with him at the Rusty Nail. He was always up to something--but he was never mean. I recall riding in the back of his big car with a bunch of other Rusty Nail workers and getting in a race with Bruce Dayton's Camaro (iirc) after work one morning at 1 am. It did not end well for us :) but we all laughed ourselves silly.
