Jim was a close friend of mine. He was in the Marine corps having been drafted after HS. He married Sandy Haley of Cary. He and Sandy had one daughter, Monica. Jim was with the Raleigh fire dept. for several years. He left the fire dept. to open his own business, a Grocery Boy jr. on Garner Road. Clyda and I had many family outings with Jim and Sandy.
