Karen Schejbal (Albertini)

I was there at Graduation - I just dont remember the big sign about Tony Molenda.

Shawn Brower (Holzman)

I apparently was at the forest preserves with Karen, cuz I don't remember the sign either!
You guys are crackin' me up!

I believe I recall that banner....suffice it to say that your memories seem wholly more agile than mine! Prolactin has been surging through my body for too long, which, I'm told, can contribute to lack of facile cranial movement. And, while we're on the subject...any hide or hair of Tony Molenda in twenty years?

Dave P--I've shirked any duties for two decades, so when you are planning that 25th soiree, I'll do my best satellite contribution (I vote for it not being at the forest preserve).

David Piekut

Ohh... you didn't really tempt me to answer the kid question did you? As for the 25th, happy to plan. I could plan the 21st. We can decide where next week. Heck let's just go there Sunday morning...Oh wait... that's right... you have those kids...darn.

Maybe a Miami Vice Theme'd reunion in Miami? Or a cruise out of Miami? Although not really into it per se Karen, the fashions do live on in modern form.

I remember the banner however I don't remember Tony. Am I the only one that looks at the list of names and doesn't remember more than half?

Shawn it was Miss Lewis - Dean of Girls

09/20/08 04:16 PM #28

Shawn Brower (Holzman)

Oh dear, yes, Ms. Lewis, how can I forget- thanks Karen. Joe- I vaguely remember the window incident- but sorry can't remember more.
Who was responsible for putting a dead fish at the front entrance steps during I believe Homecoming one year?
My 14 year old has been begging to go t.p.'ing since he was about 9 or 10 ( I must have passed down that excitement for it- cuz my husband just doesn't see what's so great about it)...we told him, not until you get into high school- well....I can't believe how fast that came- he's saving t.p. cuz homecoming is in two weeks.
Anyone run into old teachers? Anyone ever have a crush on a teacher...I'll admit mine- had a little crush on Mr. Ware- KIDDING! Actually, Mr. Bornhorst...don't be shy, we're old enough to fess up now :)

During our 2nd year there was a smoking hot blonde Geometry teacher. Can't remember her name, but I kept hoping for a chance to get an "A" the easy way. I still got the "A" for a grade at least. ;-)

09/20/08 07:37 PM #30

Shawn Brower (Holzman)

"Smoking hot blonde who taught geometry"...why you must be referring to Mr. Ondrus Dave!

09/20/08 08:45 PM #31

Rena Braccio (Kuratko)

Joe - I think Mrs Dilley was/is gay? and yes I somewhat remember the window incident, but that is it my memory stinks!

Bill still goes have a mullet, in fact he braids it ( or should I say his daughter braids it). He mentioned dyeing it blue and white for the reunion....maybe sporting more of a mohawk look?

Who said something about Mr Colombe? ( I am sure I misspelled that) not that I had a crush on him but I did love his class.

David, was the teacher you were talking about the blond in one of your pictures?

09/20/08 09:25 PM #32

Shawn Brower (Holzman)

Rena, I think it was Mr. Colombe (sp?) that was the chem teacher from my prior post...
") Mr. Rainey( I think it was Mr. Rainey, now I'm not sure- did he teach chemistry?) saying, "mmm o.k." between every word, then Matt Miller holding up a sign with the tally count- I swear it was something like 68 "mmm o.k.'s" in one class period- Matt could you verify?"

Does anyone remember the "mmm o.k.'s"?

But keep posting the teacher crushes :)

Jennifer Pons (Wilber)

I thought Ms. Dilley got married around our junior year--we're talking about the Spanish teacher, right? I do believe there were several guys (not that I'd mention them by name, Joe) who thought her to be a particularly inspiring, "younger" and attentive lady teacher.

The blonde....wasn't that a substitute's daughter? I'm surprised no other guys have weighed in on her excellent teaching skills...(or very shiny blouses, whichever stands out in memory).

The crush...Mr. Kochwaser, of course. Advanced Biology, reduce reuse recycle... how many other instructors would have their science students memorize the lyrics to an Eagles tune for extra credit? And, he was a great swim coach.

Mr. Extrom-- wasn't that the chem teacher? (My worst class in all of my educational experiences.)

Someone earlier mentioned Mr. Matthews the English teacher. I totally remember Robert Reyes and Chris Bozzi making that guy flip out in class. Reyes was flipping the lights on and off telling him there were ghosts in the room. Matthews went bonkers. Oh and thanks for backing me on the Ms. Dilley thing JP

Deanne Sadek (Fritz)

Thanks Joe for remembering Mr Matthews... I thought maybe I had imagined him and all the crazy things that happened in his class!

As for a crush... Mr Wittkamper, definitely.

My year books are 1000 miles away!!! Don't make me come up there!!! She was on maternity leave when we were freshmen, came back the next year and I beleive quit the year after that. Ugh... so unfair... someone please look her up. Probably was worried she couldn't keep it professional if she saw me again.

Rena, no the blonde in my picture is the student. I was the teacher in that relationship... Just kidding she's a Hooters girl at the race track. Clearly I took bike racing way too seriously at one point.

Kochwaser was a nut. I remember sitting through some video about erosion for like 3 days. To him it was a life or death end of the world situation. I have not heard of it since.

Anyone remember the day Mrs. Divorak told us she liked to snow ski? We couldn't stop laughing. Everytime we would think about that huge ass on the slopes we would bust out laughing.

09/20/08 11:54 PM #38

Bill Burris

whoa whoa whoa why I did I get singled out Joey T? Take a look at the yearbook Senior Year, I think everyone but you and maybe Piekut had mullets......I was a slave to the 80's (unfortunately)

I blame Felcman for not making me cut it!!!

As for dieing it, that is true, as for braiding.....Rena wears my old t-shirt and braids it for me...... booze and braids.

09/21/08 12:47 AM #39

Shawn Brower (Holzman)

Yes Jennifer, thank you- it was Extrom for chem- the only thing that made it enjoyable was the tallies Matt Miller kept and the fact that Kathy Jurgens knew better ways to get to the answer than the teacher...
As for Koch-weser- I'm with Jenny-I liked him as a teacher, I think I'm in the minority tho- seeing as I'm the only one so far hat chose him as my "favorite".
Forgot about Mr. Wittkamp- Dina- are you checking these message forums?

Was the hot blond geometry teacher Mrs. Lahey? No pun intended Dave.

09/21/08 09:32 AM #44

Karen Schejbal (Albertini)

OK you keep talking about a hot blonde and a substitute teacher. The substitute teacher was Mrs. Kotlar and she always wore a lot of makeup and carried her big and real Louis Vitton. She substituded for one of my English classes one year because someone left on maternity leave. Her daughter did teach at RB but I think it was student teaching and she was very young and pretty - Liz Kotlar. I'm not sure if that is exactly who you are talking about but she does fit the description
