WOW you guys all remember way tooooo much. I remember places the names are a blur.

Bill, the t-shirt has officially been turned over to the reunion committee. I think Karen is trying to get the Boones Farm stain out and then will auction it to the highest bidder. I will have to find something else to wear this Saturday to braid your lovely locks.

Jennifer Pons (Wilber)

Karen, have you created a wikipedia page for RB 1984-88 yet--you win on memory recall. Yes Yes-- Liz Kotlar, that Louis (genuine)Vuitton bag, pencil skirt, shiny blouse, high high heels... very "Remington Steele" or was that "LA Law"?

09/21/08 11:12 AM #49

David Piekut

Thanks Paul... Good Man.. Ahh Lahey... Even I won't take the cheap shot jokes on that one. All I will say was it was pronounced "Lay He". I don't want to cheapen the fantasy.
I remember Bill's shoes! Of course no socks, which on warmer days had to be quite the scent. Slave to style Bill, respectable.

Ahhhhhh white shoes and pastel pants rolled up at the ankle, LOVE YOU 1986....that was pre mullet. As for the sox, sox not cool. Kind of like bras for the girls back then, no on wore them because they weren't cool. OK that one I might have just made up in my head :)

Joey you know how sensitive Boz is, you cant go after him in this big open forum.

As for memories:

There was Biology.....no dont recall any of that
Spanish......just remember the senoritas, not the language
Math.....naaaah I got nothing there
English.....dont know if I took english
History....just pastel pants and white shoes

Speaking of white shoes...how about Brad Reynard? He wore them too...all through basketball season too.

Nostalgia is certainly effective in romanticizing "mediocre" to "good" times....isn't the "twenty year reunion" a code term that insinuates...."pending mid-life crisis?" I must be just a few years away...given my daughters are wearing leggings and I am humming "In Your Eyes" this a.m.

09/21/08 12:45 PM #53

David Piekut

Bill you have me ready to weep. I had them all white, yellow, pink, baby blue, turquoise (sp?) pants. Dont forget the matching wife-beater under a white button down that wasn't buttoned. sigh... Oh and don't forget Jr. prom that was an all White Tux and tails! Ice cream anyone?
Jen Pons, they say HS is the best time of your life, so maybe it's true, or as we get older we realize it, or we selectively remember it that way. I'm not going to think about it too much just enjoying the memories. I have no idea what kids are wearing these days. I wish we could crash the dance Saturday night and see, and hear what they are into.

Although I think the next reunion should be 1986 fashions only.

'86 attire---great! But please, no scrunchies ladies or big bangs. Memories are good. Monogrammed sweaters are better.

Well I hope that not all the focus is on Bill's mullet - Have you all forgot JOE SURIANO!!! He did the white shoes and the super long mullet that no one was allowed within 100 feet of his hair!!

Some of you must recall this - anyone???

09/21/08 04:24 PM #58

Karen Schejbal (Albertini)

Jen Pons - it's almost like you are here! Maybe we should set up a computer at the reunion and keep logged on so that we can keep the messages going!

09/21/08 04:33 PM #59

David Piekut

What? Jen Pons isn't coming? Where's the dedication?

6 tickets? That's not how this works. The is YOUR reunion. I'm flying solo (well hopefully only on the plane) ba dum da... You never ever bring a spouse to a reunion, that's agony for both of you. I won't even address why you would be buying more than 2 tickets. The earth has already exceeded maxiumum capacity. The earth is due for a good culling.

09/21/08 05:26 PM #60

Jennifer Pons (Wilber)

You know, I almost bought those plane tickets for myself and six others but...Jake just didn't know what to wear. We had hoped Chess King was still in business (problem would then be solved), but apparently not!

Joe Tornabene

Ok for those of you reading these posts and not responding,,,,, it's about time you jumped in. You know you want to. With that said, Dave you are correct,,,Bill in the white shoes with no socks + hot day= Jen P's "genie" pail on a busy day. White shoes Billy B! you're a good sport. And as for the "wife beater T's" That hit deep. I still like em. Boz, as Bill said, I know you don't like open forum criticism,,,but hey,, you had the same shoes....and yours might have even been some type of odd fabric. Boz, you remember your Def Leppard jeans? hilarious...Not "poor some sugar" but please poor some gasoline on em!

09/21/08 08:22 PM #62

Chris Bozzi

hey joe , alot of love went into those jeans ! i still wear them on sat. nights , my wife loves them . you try fitting your ass into a 29" waist from 20 yrs. ago !!! i have to jump off the roof of my house to get my fat ass into them . maybe if your lucky i'll bring them this sat. after i get off work ! vanessa will probably want you to wear them home and sing def lepard ballads to her . lagrange park will be rockin' !!!!!! as for the shoes , bill probably got his at some high end shoe store . and i got mine , like i said at merry go round . everything there was odd fabric . my clothing mentor wouldn't tell me all his secrets .

I will grow a mustache by Friday's football game, break out the Z Cavaricci pants AND the white shoes, if you guys don't watch your mouth. As for the forum.....I think we will all be in a Sunday night group meeting....like Al Bundi used to do, one hand down our pants talking about high school football

David P - great call on the Miami Vice shirt with the wife beater, Hufford kicked me and Wojo out of dance because of the beaters

Rena as for the outfit for braiding....lets talk offline about that one chica

09/21/08 09:19 PM #64

Rena Braccio (Kuratko)

Ok seriously, you are all going to go through withdrawal.....what do u do all day, sit by the computer? Joe, I LOVE that you remembered the white shoes! classic.
Jen - I actually saw stretch pants with stirrups at the mall the other day..please tell me they are NOT coming back!

We need to get Joe Serriano on this forum, I will tell Mike Jamo to get him here. Maybe it will get him to join us next Sat.

Merry Go Round! I love it. How about Madigan's, anyone?

09/21/08 09:53 PM #65

Jennifer Pons (Wilber)

Rena--"Madigan's"...oh yeah! I have not witnessed the stirrups yet, but it seems even grocery stores are piping "Tears for Fears" for shopping enjoyment. I think we ARE the twenty year cycle--the 80's are back just in time. Of course, we didn't start the fire....

Bryan Riess (Riess)

Okay, people. Is everyone obsessed with what they wore 20 years ago? I must have some warped sense of reality, because I still wear all those same clothes. Am I to understand the style changed? I suppose next you're all going to tell me that you don't have your best test scores framed on your wall? Or the secret admirer note somebody stuck in your locker? Okay, I give up, who was it? I've been studying it for years, and yes, I'll go out with you - once I figure out who it was. Come on, you put a little heart and a smile at the end - you know who you are!

09/22/08 10:27 AM #67

Bill Burris

It was Tornabene......sorry to break the bad news Bryan

09/22/08 11:02 AM #68

Kathleen Hull (Redmond)

I remember some people (Brad) wearing wrestling shoes, along with the mandatory rolled up pants of course.

Where the heck is Rodney? He belongs on this forum.

09/22/08 12:01 PM #69

Karen Schejbal (Albertini)

Actually I believe Rodney is out of town this week and wont be back until Friday.....
That is what he said at least
