John,
Hope your brother continues to improve, we'll keep a good thought for him.

I also have been unable to get to the photos. Help anyone?

Donna Day (Bailey)

Hey Meehan-
Sorry to hear about your brother- although Metcalf told me it was a car accident. Hope he is on a fast road to recovery.
Here is the web site for photos-
www.DawnKingPhotography.PhotoReflect.com - The group shot is pretty good.
I am sure I am the only one who bought a shot of the table settings. ha -maybe Ann- she was incharge of the baby hornet sitting up.. or Donna Samples she did the flowers.. I was responsible for the Bailey's imagine that? Thanks again to all who helped me..or asked to help- that would be everyone I came in contact with- What a wonderful group to work with.
I still smile thinking of Ann and Ron dancing.. I watched "you think you can dance" last night and thought they are ok...but they don't seem to have the joy.. Dancing with abandonment beats out technique. And we had a lot of that..
I hope everyone has a wonderful summer and checks in from time to time to keep this message fourm going.
xoxo Donna

Donna,

My wife said the same thing. Donna Day Bailey and her crew set the bar so high she feels her 40th will be a huge let down next year. I also noticed in one of the news magazines that Suncoast high School is ranked 7th in the country!!! I never would have been able to attend had that been the case back in 1966!

John,
I just tried the address from your message and it did bring me to the home page of King C. Brown and in the middle of the page is "recent photos" and there are 3 links under that for our pictures - group, Thurs and Friday.
(the address that shows up when you get there is:http://www.photoreflect.com/pr3/store.aspx?p=59033. See if that works!

Hi to all! Great reunion! Amazing to see so many old friends. DD you and your staff did an awesome job and Thanks for bugging me to join the fun. For those who want to know what I was "on" that night...I was High on the real things that matter...my beautiful lady Georgette, an excellent bottle of Zinfandel (smuggled into the room) and the fact we don't get out dancing much. Now for the commercial announcement...I stand on the Indo Board when I'm on the computer which is approx. 4-5 hours a
day. Sitting is killing all of us and if you want the secret to why I was able to kick up my heels that's a big part of it.I have a video on my web site check it out: http://www.indoboard.com/pages/index.php?page_id=indo_tv&video_file_name=intro_demoDVD.mov&is_autoplay=true&title=Ergonomic%20Indo%20Office
If any of you get thru Melbourne Beach let me know and we'll go surfing...80 boards in my garage. I hope to see Doll, Jack, Travis and all the rest who said they would visit! All the best to everyone out there!

Apologies for not making the connection with all.....feeling lower that whale excrement! Could not change schedule on a business trip to the lands of the midnight sun (Finland and Sweden).

I do feel as though I may have partayed with y'all as bright daylight started at 3 o'clock in the morning in Finland.....still recovering!

2019 or bust! Bright blessings!

Cliff, good to hear from a new voice. The reunion was great, hopefully we won't wait until 2019 for the next one.

Hi everyone!
Have enjoyed reading the chatter, & glad that y'all are getting the bugs ironed out on the pictures, which I haven't had a chance to look at, yet.
Made it to DisneyWorld...without overembellishing...I think I need to find another "haven of bliss"...goodbye DisneyWorld! Then, headed for Titusville on Fri. for the shuttle launch. All motel rooms are double during a launch...launch scrubbed! Okay, halfway expected, since it does happen quite often...head west to Crystal Springs to swim w/ the manatees & go on an airboat ride on Sun. Steven & Glenys swam w/ manatees..I caught a terrible cold at DW & am still fighting it & was coughing too much to snorkel. We all did the airboat (that was exciting {yawn}). We left this morning and are now in Pensacola, since we took the scenic route,
Hwy 98, all the way! Now, Glenys has what I have & we are a bunch of happy campers!
Tomorrow, New Orleans...I insisted on I-10 from Pensacola to home, but I don't know what they'll talk me into...best to everyone...Great People...Great Times!

I would like to thank everyone for putting on a great show. Donna and the gang...great job...we had so much fun and after it is over you are wondering who did you miss talking to..it goes so fast...I left my "Pink Pecker" or my wife hide it from me...oh and the one thousand mints that I won...wow what a treat, they would not let me on the airplane with them so I put them in Hunter's bag!!!

Oh Meehan, sorry to hear about your brother. My Dad had an MI and lived another 20 or so years; sometimes it is a wake-up call to change your life-style. Medicine is so exciting and constantly changing, which suits me fine since I am constantly changing too, or so my husband says. Ha!

I am going to try to look at the pics now and will let you know if I can get in. Once again, I REALLY enjoyed seeing ya'll. Take care!

PS-Cliff, glad you joined up. Sorry we didn't get to see you, maybe next time. It was a blast!!

PSS- I don't believe you Hunter!!

Ann Woodward (Statler)

OK, I found the photos, all you have to do is copy and past the web address if you get bounced back to the RBHS home page, or google: DawnKingPhotography.photoreflect.com (actually you can highlight by left click and drag, right click, copy, and right click, paste the afore mentioned web address in google)
Good Luck!

Ron Doll

Thanks for your help, Ann, and thanks again for trying to make me look good on all the dance floors! How's the head wound doing? Nose is fine.

McLaughlin, I still don't see why you were so darned concerned that I had no hotel reservations? And to the point where you thought you were back in school & started picking on me! Geez, when will you learn?

And by the way Donna Day, Ellrich put me up to gettin your very cute & tiny bikini picture blown up! Jack wanted me to hang it above the urinal in the mens bathroom! And your husband has ordered several life size copies for some reason!

And Rimi, guess who had the knowledge to tap the kegs..... yours truly. Gary Johnson, Hood, Ellrich, & Teater could not remember that far back to their kegging days! Although they did figure out how to ice them down and pump them up!

Thanks to you, Lynn Morton, for all the pictures, DVD, TV, surf boards, posters, & decorations you & Sis brought and put up for the beach party. I can't figure out why everyone made fun of my disco ball & black lights?

Yeah, looking back I think we all had a super great time in '09 and a really fine time in '69.

Doll

Hi Donna-
Are you on? I just changed the home page... got some complaints about how screwy it got.. all is good now..

06/18/09 12:26 PM #276

Donna Samples (Pintsak)

Patty Jackson - good to hear that the journey continues!
I hope you and your family have more fun!

Ron Doll - Thank you for rattling your buddy's cages!
I, for one miss the banter (smack) happening prior to the reunion. I know all of us are back to our busy lives but I sincerely hope everyone will check in from time to time and just drop a line about what you are doing.

Just yesterday I asked Jack Rhine if he was watching the Laker's victory parade and he replied GTH. Now what do you suppose that meant?

06/18/09 12:28 PM #277

Donna Samples (Pintsak)

Donna,
Yeah, I'm on. It was great talking to you yesterday. I'm glad you and Jeanne had a good visit. I hope she'll sign up on the website so I can e-mail her. It seems Jim deleted all our old e-mails and I lost her address.

06/19/09 10:28 AM #278

Jack Rhine

Left Coast Blonde Girl: All? back to our busy schedules?
Busy schedule? Yours? My side hurts from laughing! Well if planting your flowers and watching the smog at sunset is busy, then ok !
Finally coming out of reunion, being with great friends withdraws!! Awesome event and those Thursday boys did a top shelf job. Now it looks like that is a once a year "Ron Doll (a.k.a. Rick Flair ) Annual Barn Party" !!
Just set the date and who ever is around, come on!
Will be at "Rambo's" July 4th party in Kissimmee. RD's
Lake Toho Backyard Bash !! Should be a good one.
None better than Donna and what she did for all of us. She spreads the credit around but she did it and it took alot of time and effort but it was great and we all thank her and sincerely appreciate her. That is not true about her picture in the men's room. Ron was into the Bud Heavy. I thought he said the rest areas on the Turnpike.

Donna Samples (Pintsak)

Mr. Rhine is now trying to rattle my cage but I don't mind, in fact I love it. Jack, I had breakfast on my patio this morning...no bugs and no humidity. As a matter of fact, we haven't had to run the air conditioning since we got back to Calif. And yes, watching the sunset and drinking lemoncello is where I'll be tonight, outside, again...no bugs, no humidity.

But folks I do have something serious to say because today has been a really sad day for me. We attended the funeral of the 34 year old son of dear friends. He was killed in a freak slip and fall accident in their home.
He was here on leave from the Navy to tell his parents that he was going to ask his girlfriend to marry him. He was a funny, fine, young man and we are heartbroken for his family.

So, as we all know...life can be too short and we need to tell our families and friends how much we love them and how much they mean to us. We have just had the wonderful opportunity to reconnect with treasured friends at our reunion. Since I moved away so many years ago I had lost touch with so many of you. I am so very grateful that I was able to spend even a little time with so many good people. I know that many of you have had a positive influence on my life.

Everyone, thank you again for a wonderful weekend and no matter what, let's try to stay in touch.

Donna,

I’ve been kicking myself in the pants for not having stayed in touch with everyone for 40 years! My wife told me that we were all very remarkable people, but she loved Ron the best. Glad I’m in Jersey and keeping them away from each other!

It’s been raining like crazy up here and even the US Golf Open is getting killed. We had a short bit of sunshine yesterday, but this weekend’s a washout. Hope everyone else is having better luck than us.

I promise to stay in touch from now on out and will be checking this little blog every day. Again, thanks Donna for being such a Wonder Woman.

Donna, so sad to hear of your friend. My thoughts go out to you. You are so right! We all have to remember to "be here now". It was so nice to see you and hope we are able to get together when I am in CA. Love ya!

One more comment about the weather in California and I am packin my bags.. geez it is hot here..but we leave for Vermont next week and stay through the 5th.. They really do the 4th of July old school there. Very quaint and the weather is glorious in the mountains.

Has anyone tried to send pictures to Valerie? I keep checking to see if someone who had a camera sent some to her to post.. If that is not working...I will try to put something up on this site.

Donna - sorry to hear about your friend..I miss you... We may come out this fall and bring you some bugs.. just want to share.

Hope everyone has a terrific 4th and I will be thinking of Ron Doll dancing to the Star Spangled Banner.

06/20/09 05:04 PM #283

Donna Samples (Pintsak)

Chip, good to hear from you again and I agree with your wife, Ron is a doll! He is too much fun! I hope the Kissimmee group has a "bitching" Fourth of July party!!!

Gail, thank you for your kind words. I can find my way to Century Blvd. so call me next time you are out. It was so good to see you again!

Donna, I hate to brag about the weather but love to get Jack Rhine's goat. It could be triple digits by the end of next week, you never know. Jim laughed his butt of when I told him about Jack's assessment of my so called busy life. He keeps telling me I should get a job but I am still having fun with my various little projects. I hope you have a lovely time in Vermont and you sure as heck better let me know if you come to the West coast!

Everyone, have a safe and happy Fourth of July!

To all you Dad's out there...

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!!!!!

Jack, thanks for warning me that your coming to my annual 4th bash ... I will hide the keg and the grenades!....

Oh by the way you all, consider this my invite to all my classmates to come celebrate with me and a bunch of my old cellmates I have met here in Kissimmee. If you can make it, please email me and I'll give you directions, etc. I will have accommodations for 10-12 brave ones here at RD's Place so you can enjoy the weekend! Please come!

Oh yeah Chip,... I did see that look in Dawilla's eyes.... we definitely connected, so it is good we are separated. She's way too young for you, anyway!

And Dear Miss Donna Bailey, alias my 1969 Interact Sweetheart with mug, bikini, and palm tree...... Ann Woodward & I could perhaps dance to The Star Spangled Banner but we will pass on that for now!... I'm so glad your seeing so much humor in my trash dancing.... your turning into McLaughlin!
