Connie J. Stennett, nee: Starrett, beloved wife of James "Randy" for 40 exceptional years; loving mother of James Jr. (Therese), Brian (Lauren) and Matthew (Crystal); dear grandmother of McKenzie, Christopher, Caley, Caden, Cody, Brynn, Maecyn, Jace and Payton; devoted daughter of Claudia and the late Stanley Starrett; fond sister of Ed (Jan) Starrett, Michael (Helen) Starrett and Patrick (Marci) Starrett; special aunt of many nieces and nephews and dear friend of many. Volunteer member of the Roanoke Life Saving Crew 1976 - 1983. Devout follower of Jesus Christ. Amazingly courageous, especially during the last 3 years. She used her illness to share her faith with others. She enjoyed Arts and Crafts, especially sewing, scrapbooking and knitting. She loved music and singing, especially praise and worship music. Connie dearly loved her grandchildren. Visitation Wednesday, October 14th from 4 to 8 pm at Leonard Memorial Home, 565 Duane Street, Glen Ellyn. Funeral Service Thursday 10 am at Evangel Church, 5100 Bartels Road, Hanover Park. Interment to follow at Forest Hill Cemetery, Glen Ellyn.
