Bug I have some beach photos.....way funny! and yes we sure knew all the dance moves and with alittle practice I`m sure we could clear the floor. I still love to dance! Does anyone remember the Raisins..the little figures sold by Hardees fast food resturant?? My Mother collected all of them, she still has them sitting around. What about hip-huggers,bell bottoms, hippie smock shirts, blue jean shirts with patches sewn on them,clogs..the higher the better, but then you would be taller than most the boys and that wasn`t good.oh the funny things you can remember. How about the lanuage spoken...can anyone remember some of the things we all said???

Jeanne your comment about the singing raisins made me think of the time Betsy and I were the comic relief between acts in one of the talent shows. We were the Bubble Butt Sisters and sang the fig newton song. We wore overalls and stuffed the butts with pillows. Classy girls!

Bug, I have a picture of that....and many more. You and Betsy looked like something off Saturday Night Live! At the last Reunion I was not able to take picture cause my camera broke but I will have one for this Reunion. My kids look through my pictures and of course they laugh, not sure at what but we have a good time together and them seeing what their Mom was like. Can`t wait to see all you guys!

Rob, Sometimes I hung out with Jim Bowen in high school. He also went to Northcross (sp? the private school). That might be where we went as a senior. He was supposed to come to our wedding but never showed up. After that, I lost touch with him. I'll see if I can find some pics.

Wayne Sowder took most of the pictures for the annual. We developed them (including the color shots of Tim Hudson in Knight regalia and others near the front of the annual) in the dark room behind Billie Reid's chemistry lab. I think the fumes must have altered a few of my brain cells. It was a good place to goof off though. it was quiet, and the staff always thought you must be working on something.

I ran across a ziplock full of those 110 films from that little pocket camera that Rob mentioned (mine had a built in flash btw, option cost like $2 more, tightwad!)
You guys think that film is any good after 30 years?
I carried that camera everywhere in HS, hard telling what secrets could be there.
Guess it's worth a try, not even sure who to take them too, all my stuff has been digital for a decade now?

I remember that darkroom Ralph, you mean you guys actually developed film in there? Never saw you or Sowder with a camera, only guitars?!? Sounds good tho...

Addabead necklace, wow totally forgot them, think I had 1 once but kept breaking it too, became addabracelet then addaring, then it just dissapeared. Wonder if that is why mom kept going thru vacuum cleaners that year?

To my dear ex-wife Dorothy, if you have never developed the film, chances are it is no good. You are right, no one these days would know what to do with it. Maybe a specialty store like Ewald-Clark, if they are still in business. So what box has it been sitting in for 30 plus years? What else is in there?
35mm negatives can be enlarged with no problem, even if they are 30 plus years old. Epson makes a great all in one printer that you can scan old slides and negatives. It is time consuming and truly a labor of love. Kind of like you were! I love you anyway! Rob

Dorothy Harmon (Mabe)

Yo Mulder, I said ziplock not box! Thanks for the tips though, I'll see if Ewald-Clark still exists. (Gordon Ewald used to race 240Z's with me and my sis in the day, Old Dominion Sports Car Club)
I do have an old Charles Chip can full of negatives. (talkin about high tech?)

Good to see I can still get you riled up after all these years. XXO

To the rest of the class, if you don't see me at the reunion, look for me on a milk carton, I think I just passed Bova on the FBI's top 10.......

Jeanne, remember when you were spending the night at my house, my Mom was away when we woke up and the front yard was full of leaves. The funny thing was the only tree in the front yard was a very small tree. Any guys in our class remember filling the yard with wet leaves?

Ok - I got Laurie's pictures. Phil Foster and Roush are gonna love that one! Or should I send it to Rob??? Maybe post it on the website - Hmmm - blackmail of some sort - I am sure! Of course the one with me in 8th grade in bell bottoms is pretty funny too - I knew that those coming back in style was a bad idea!! I actually had on bell bottoms and saddle oxfords! LOL

Terry...I can't imagine what you are talking about?...what leaves? :):)

I'm getting a little nervous about this picture thing. I remember how attractive my glasses were until 10th grade and I was growing my hair out at the same time. Ouch!

I hear ya Dorothy, I stay in alligators up to my butt most days! It's a good thing Rob loves us, or we'd be in a stink of stuff. I can't find any pictures, everyone is aware by now that I can never seem to find anything anymore. I lose my car in parking lots frequently and it takes awhile to remember where I parked it. Besides, any old goofy pictures of me would probably end up on youtube forever and ever! It's a shame I can't go ahead and tap into Medicare already...

The only pictures of me that I still have are in the yearbook. I'm usually leaning against a tree or trying to look cool standing on a snow bank with with my fellow club members. The only shot of me actually doing something is when I drove our pickup as the Sophomore h
Homecoming Float (pg. 19). You can only see my arm, which is just as well because I was seriously burning up the clutch at the time.

Whats with that snow bank anyway? I don't remember any snow that really counted. I do remember about 1' of snow soon after we came south. While we were cracking up about school being canceled for a mere inch of snow, two road graders got stuck on our street. To top it all off, our neighboor, I think it was Dave Kase's dad, came flying down the hill in his new caddy. Yankees that we were, we knew he couldn't make the curve. He broadsided the heavy equitment. If we had had a video camera, we would be in the money on that one!

I live in Richmond and read in the paper today that Hope Wills Mustian age 42 died on August 9th. It said she is survived by her son James Paul Mustain. It did not say anything about Paul but I am almost positive she was Pauls wife. If so, I feel so sorry for their son.

I thought that I would move this here so that more people would see it.. Sue, I hope that you don't mind. My thoughts and prayers go out to Paul and Hope's son.

Just in...

Peruse especially the left side of this local magazine: In the sports sect., Wilkes' boy Jack gets alot of well-deserved ink touting his golfing finesse. Center tabs, recognize any familiar sights & names in the Knights-in-Training article?

... by the way, next weekend our reunion notice should be showing up in Swo-Co & the RTWN, and yes, the Marquee is still shinning bright for one last surge before the Big Hurrah September 20. G'day Mates! Brian

I found a couple photos from 8th or 9th grade county sports teams I played on and added them to my profile. Thought some of you would be interested. I spotted a couple Class of 78's - Misters Holland, Cheney, Torre, Fleshman and a slew of Class of 79's.

If anybody needs a really good laugh. Check out the photo on my profile page. A couple of old guys got together for dinner a few weeks ago in San Diego.

>>> It is FANTASTIC to see Pictures of Rob and Everyone else here! All 100% GREAT Stuff! Love catching up on all this! >>>

More GOOD Stuff... In this week's www.swo-co.com, there's a little somethin', somethin' inside to peek (Prof. Reynolds says, Pique, but I'm using my sidekick, You Might Be A Redneck If... Dictionary - so it's Peek) everyone's interest for a while.

And what's the name of that C.S. Football Fight Song the Band used to play to get everybody fired up? HEY!!!

Hey Brian.... WE got to hear that fight song about 6 times tonight as we had the season opener of the 2008-09 football season.. We played Alleghany County and I am happy to say that we WON!!!!! 28-20.. It was hairy until the 3rd quarter when the guys came alive.. Josh Woodrum is a chip off of Alan for sure.. That boy is about a one man team... We have a good looking team.. Maybe we'll make it to the playoffs this year....
