Went thru the site Parker, I didn't see what you were talking about? Thought it might be something about the 'union, please elaborate.

Go Knights! I feel football in the air, cool about Woodrum,
next generation....weird how they will be doing this reunion thing like us, and in just a blink! (they'll be planning their 30th at our 60th, scary!)

Looks like Rob and Peach had fun, is it just me or is Anderson holding Peach up? LOL Some things never change!
Also loved the picts that Garrett and Alderson posted!
Keep'em comin, of course it is making me feel older by the minute!

Edwards, Sowder, Settles and Wingo, did you guys hook up via email to plan the Southern Sun reunion?
Would love to see a guest performance, but I think Settles already has a gig that night?

Hello everyone,
Nice to see the rain!
Just wanted to share with you all that I am taking my 4th one off to College today....I am excited and sad all at the same time. The only thing I guess I really worry about is..will these boys of mine remember how to wash clothes??
Hope you all have a great day!

Jeanne,

I just sent my son off to his second year at VT last week, and I have already had to mail him clothes he left in the dryer at home. Quit worrying -- they're hopeless. They'll learn that clean clothes = more girls, and they'll take care of the situation.

Jeanne you can have some of our rain! We had 8 days straight the last week or so and are gearing up to get some from the hurricane moving into the Gulf. You guys keeps your fingers crossed it doesn't hit New Orleans or Billy over in Mississippi. The third anniversary of Katrina is tomorrow. Can't wait to see everyone in a few weeks!

Well I got through the day with only a few tears, and of course my son James goes off doing the dance...I`m on my own now...silly boy! Thanks Ralph for the clean clothes more girls COMMENT..great, just great!
Laurie we really needed the rain around here, all the grass has turned brown, I haven`t had to mow but twice this year but I hope that everyone your way will be safe. Does anyone know if there is a Cave Spring Football Game the weekend of the Reunion? How fun would it be to have a bunch of us show up at the game....something to think about.
Have a great weekend you guys!
Laurie I hope you get alittle sun your way and I hope that Billy is also safe...Take care

Hi guys:

I'd just like to cay that Rob was not holding me up, we were holding each other up. but if Rob hadn't had to catch a plane at o-dark-thirty the next morning, things would really have gotten much more sloppy. Having him call out of the blue one night was an absolute trip. and getting caught up on what's going on with everyone else was awesome. the evening evaporated much too quickly.

I hadn't been called Peach with any frequency in over 2 decades, but it does bring back some great memories (or dark holes where memories used to be).

Still don't know if I can swing the trip, if I can, I will. But keep in touch anyway. Talk to you all soon =)

Peach

Well... It was another award winning night at Bogle Field.. The mighty Knights won game 2 of the season.. We were up against Staunton River and beat them 28-6. Josh Woodrum, again... All I can say is WOW.. The boy has an arm... I asked Alan if it was Beth that taught him to throw.. to which i got a mean look.. Go figure.. Cross your fingers for a winning season. It sure would be nice..

Hey everyone. Well, looks like I am under the gun here again for another hurricane. New Orleans is going to take one hell-of-a-hit, and I am an hour away to the east, in the northwest quadrant, worst place to be! It is now early on Sunday morning here in Gulfport, around 1:30am. The better-half and I are going to try to leave early and head towards Jackson, MS, normally about a 3 hour drive, will probably take all day, with the dog and cat needing to stop every so often. I would appreciate everyone keeping me in their prayers. My old house is close to the beach, survived Katrina, and I am hoping for it to come through again. Have a great Holiday weekend!!!

Billy, I have been thinking of you often the last two days. I hope that you and your family are safe and did not suffer much damage from the storm. Things do not look as bad as Katrina thank God. Take care and good luck getting back home and settled in.

Hey,

I just recently got in touch with the following people and they will be going to the reunion with me:

Carrie Adams, Bonnie Davis, Alison Leonard, Cheryl Travitz, Cindy Fazio, Karen Trabue, Angie Knight, Wendy Witt and Cheryl Evers.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with anyone else that has not set up a profile? What about Muffin Johnson, Nancy Johann, Lisa Aliff? I will call them or anyone else that has not been contacted.

Arlene - I sent out about 275 flyers to the addresses I had on file for anyone that had not created a profile. Many of those came back undeliverable. Hopefully the ones that didn't come back found some people but any help that people can give to find these people would be appreciated. Be sure and have them register directly and pay on-line or call me if they need to pay another way and update their address.

It is sad to say.. But I have spoken with some that just don't care... I got the comment.."I didn't lose anything there, didn't gain anything there and don't care to go back to those days". So if I mention it and get that back.. I don't try anymore..

Betsy,

The flyer thing was a great idea. Maybe someone knows an address or phone number, anything. I will look in the phone book and see what I can find there. I can hardly wait for the reunion. This is going to be so much fun. Thanks for all that you have done to make this the best reunion ever. Linda, thanks for all of your help too. See you guys soon!!!

I have spoken with Beth Teague. She will be on vacation the week of the reunion, and won't be able to attend. I did tell her to check out this website.

I also spoke with Scott Schneider, he hasn't called me back yet.

Hey all,
I spoke with Lisa Aliff, she gave me her phone #, I am to call her and remind her of the Reunion as it gets closer, she seemed interested. So I`ll call her....

Linda, some people just have periods of their lives they don't wish to remember or recall. Some people view reunions as living in the past and it is not. The past is what made us what we are. Granted, most of us have not seen or heard from each other in 30 years. However, Saturday night, September 20, we will all come together and the last 30 years will just disappear! It has been 30 years! We have nothing to prove, we have no one to impress, we are what we are. Thanks for trying Linda.
That wasn't bad was it? I should have never left the seminary. See everybody soon!

Well said Mr. Anderson.

Yeah Rob... I guess you are right... It would of been nice to get a "yeah i heard about it but i am not interested".. That would not of been that hard...

I'm wondering where Diana Howard is. She went to the Air Force Academy. I saw something on the net a few years ago about her bcoming a Colonel. By now she may be a General. I looked for her in a couple of military databases.I'm looking mostly from the Army side of the house. If anyone has Airforce ties. Please try to find her. After I missed the cut for the Coast Guard and Navy Academies, I landed in the Army. I really liked being an NCO and even turned down a commision when I became an RN. I sure would like to talk to a CS grad that made it to the top.

Hello Everyone,
This has been so much fun reading up on everyone and looking back at my year book to see how much we've all changed. Although I just learned about our upcoming reunion a couple of days ago, this website has brought back many great memories. Nothing specific, just the various relationships and feelings that went along with high school. I can't wait to see everyone and get caught up. Although high school was a series of ups and downs and I too have lost touch with everyone, somehow I feel connected to each of you and the good times we've shared. I have nothing but good feelings when I reflect back on those years and God knows, I wasn't one of the "in" crowd but I remember myself to be more of a rebel. If I recall it right, the smoking block was my hang out. I'm happy to report, I no longer smoke but can't wait to have more than one toast with you guys! And Mr Anderson . . . you shouldn't have left the seminary, very well said :).

Greg,
Diana left the Air Force some years ago and is a Pilot for Delta (I think). She moved back to the area several years ago after her father's death. She lived across the street from me,(down the street from where she grew up) until about two years ago, when she moved again. Not sure where she is now.

Just an FYI - we now have 72 people from our class attending the reunion and 104 total when you add in guests. Keep telling everyone!

Cave Spring traveled to Northside last night for a soggy football game. The rain held off until right before halftime and then it was just enough rain to be annoying. We put up a good fight, with Josh Woodrum having another good game. So sad to have to report that the Vikings were a little better and took the game 34-20. We are off next Friday and Sept. 19 we are away at Patrick Henry's new staduim.....GO KNIGHTS~~!!!
