David Jay Sollie, 51, of Salem passed away suddenly at home Thursday, December 15, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Sollie. He is survived by his mother, Ruby Sollie, of Salem; and his aunt Junita Musser, of Cypress, Calif.; and many cousins. He graduated from Northside High School and attended Old Dominion University. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Donald Woodard officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Cemetery. Visitation will be fro 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Lotz Funeral Home in Salem.
