Kristen I think you can blame the loss of trafic on Stef. Everyone used to check in to see what she was up to next. Since she has been absent we are missing the spice on our board!

As for putting a chip in her neck, that could get costly. I'm sure we would have to replace it frequently with all of the trouble she gets into!

Not sure about lunch Friday but as usual let us know when and where.

Faye~ If Maggie is serious about LAX, let me know...I bought Kenzie the $120.00 "stick" all the gear, she went to two practices and said she liked basketball better. So don't buy anything. LAX in Salem is a HUGE deal and gets girls and guys lots of scholarships. Especially if she started now...I think she would really like it. It's a neat sport.

Let's get a count for Friday...lemme know tomorrow...then we can talk when and where...I'm all for Martins...

Kristen~ Sorry the strep is in your house. It is really mean this year...and it seems like the flu virus is STILL going around...wash your hands everybody!!

hey all...thanks for all the well wishes on the first day back to work...all I can say is whew..

So I had my first day...I did the payroll, start to finish, including the direct deposit...and I entered all the bills to be paid...you wouldn't believe how many "book" invoices come in...wow..anyway I guess they figured after awhile i knew what I was doing (I've used Quickbooks before..just needed the refresher course), anyway, the day literally flew by. The drive to work is about 5 miles further than I had before, and although it's in an old city building, in (aka the original library from like 100 years ago) in the basement no less the perks far outweigh everything that I did have working for a home builder (everything was like walking thru a model home to give you an idea)..anyway it was a good day. To top if off the pay is better and I get more vacation, holiday and sick pay...gotta love that.

Kristen, have you given any thought as to when you want to go out for lunch/dinner? Zach's last basketball game is Saturday, after that my calendar is empty.

And yes, that strand of strep is worse this year..as is the flu. Although they gave Jess something called TempiFlu or TempraFlu...basically it was 10 pills to take over 5 days to keep the flu bug from spreading to different parts of the body...she was feeling better in a day's time so it must do the trick.

Martin's sounds good. I'm in if it's downtown.

Also as an FYI there is going to be a new restaurant opening up downtown in the old Mix building on Campbell. It's going to be called Red Clay and will be the same as the one in Rocky Mount. I've never eaten there but it got good reviews for lunch. Not sure when the downtown version will open though.

Martins it is...1230...be there or be square...

DJ GT~ We went to the REd Clay restaurant down here in Rocky Mount one time...I ate a few bites...it just wasnt very good. The menu looks great, but for some reason, the food is off...and obviously, when you look at me, you can tell I am not picky. So we'll see what happens...

Still need an official count...

Hello all... Sorry for the lapse in any random postings... No, I was not assisting Cougar with the photo shoot in South America... Sarah and I moved in January and are still unpacking... I got transferred to Bluefield WVa but we are still living in Virginia, Giles County to be exact, but we are only five miles from the state line. I will try to post some of the pics of our view we have taken from our deck. I get into Roanoke every couple of weeks to pick up my son so maybe I can catch lunch one of those days... Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Tony~ We all wondered where you had landed when we went to lunch on Friday at Martin's. It was great, as always. Wow, you are in a big metropolis being in Giles...probably a lot like Franklin County! Yee-haw! Not too bad down here...and you are close to the lake...

02/28/09 07:55 PM #2008

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

I am close to the lake...you are close to....well, not quite sure. Close to Grundy and Richlands?

Amy you are welcome to have the 10 inches we just finished shoveling off our deck if you want....

03/02/09 01:32 PM #2013

Carla Boyd (McCabe)

Jolee...what makes you think it was Todd's son? Was he stuck to ceiling with bubble gum?

Yaaayy! Snow! My kids are so happy! We have about 7-8 inches.

03/02/09 03:05 PM #2014

Chris Akers

We only got 2.5" of snow, but we're not letting it affect our ego. :)

03/02/09 03:49 PM #2015

Kristen Witt (Bray)

I am glad that everyone is enjoying the snow. I would have taken the kids out in it but (1) I am sick and (2) the wind is blowing so bad that I think that I would lose my children in the white-out condition. Hmmmm, better yet, I am going to get on my snow gear!!!!
