Stef~ I think we have all come to think those same exact thoughts over the past year.

And Keith Thrasher is in the house....HOLLAH!

Hey Vikings...whew, what a whirlwind couple of weeks. Haven't checked the site in awhile, I've barely checked FB either. Way too much going on. I am most likely in for lunch this week. Thursday is better than Friday for me, but I can probably work out either, then back on the road for next week...I'm tired.

Hope everyone is doing well and had a great Easter. God is good and I'm so glad I found him, even if it did take until I was 30!!

See the lunch crowd soon!

Hey Everyone.

Steph - Hope you are doing well. Still thinking about ya.

Trina - Hey Chick, sorry you have to travel so much...Since John's stepmother died he has been in Boston 4 out of the last 5 weekends...(and his dad stayed with us for a week.. I only made the road trip once (with kids) and it about did me in..so I don't know how you keep the schedule that you do. Looking forward to a trip to VA this summer..trying to find a date that works. Got that room painted yet or are you still waiting on me? :p
And yes God is good...all I have to do is look at my 4 sleeping angels to realize that :)

Kristen - When do you finish up with classes? We have GOT to get together for another dinner/lunch...all these Viking lunch dates we miss is making me jealous. I have tickets to Longwood if you want to go. (they are for anytime).

Faye - have fun at Busch Gardens...hope the weather is warm and sunny for you. Post pictures.

Keith Thrasher - the whole idea behind this is to actually fill out something about yourself.

Oh, and BTW would someone please send some sunshine up here? I'm tired of it being cold and wet.

Vick...paint -- you wish. We've got texture paint to remove first. Now that I know you will be around this summer, I think it can wait until you come!! (o:

Lunch group...Today or tomorrow? Either will work for me.

Well I just returned after my 3 day adventure and it was great. Yes I did do the rollar coasters and survived and low and behold who did I have to travel to Williamsburg to see but our own Bryan Grubb. Great to see you Bryan! Maggie even rode the Appollos Chariott (200 or some feet up and drop) and she did it! The Griffon too intense for her (per mom, it was a little intimidating but I did it said a few prayers on the way up but made it down safe and sound) Alpengeist a little too bouncy and stuff for me but we had a great time. Sorry Troy I didn't get to call we had 3 different sets of families trying to coordinate meals and times and schedules and 1 person who likes to sleep in........(that would be me) so I am glad to be home. Laundry to do and sleep to catch up on but glad to be home. Hope you all had a great time at lunch and wonderful spring break week! Hope you are better Jolee....bad seafood is the worse kind of sickness ever........peace out!

Had to come back and add a funny story.....you know those carts that you push the luggage on....well we flattened 2 tires today with our load of luggage.....well John & Maggies 2 bags and the rest was mine....of course even at Busch Gardens I must have matching shoes and socks even in the rain.......:) I am married to a saint...........how funny it was to see him trying to get that cart down.......OMG I was crying with laughter, priceless.

Kristen Witt (Bray)

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Spring Break, and for those of you who went to the beach, I am sooooooooo jealous. Hopefully we will do a beach trip this summer. Not sure because of the classes that I will be taking all summer long.

Vicki -- yes, I will get in touch with you so that we can do lunch/dinner soon. My oldest son is turning 9 years old today, and then my other son is turning 4 years old next Friday. This weekend we are going back to Roanoke to attend the mini-reunion. Please take loads of prom pictures and post them. I can't wait to see them. If we weren't going home, then I would probably come to your house so that we could reminisce about our prom days!!!

So, who all out there is going to be at the mini-reunion this weekend?

04/21/09 11:30 AM #2097

Chris Akers

Kelly and I are planning to be there, along with my sister Kim ('86). Looking fwd to it!

Thanks!

Kristen, when you get back give me a call, I know you should be finishing up classes soon based on John's class schedule is almost over too. Now that it appears that the weather is warming up and I have gotten the yard done we will have to have a cookout or something, kids can play on the swingset or riding toys (we have the sidewalk on our side of the street). We'll do the food, you just come to relax. Have fun this weekend, and yes I will be taking TONS of pictures. Tell your little guys Happy Birthday.

Chris A. and anyone else making the trip to Rke...have a safe trip. See you next time..sorry dude, daughter's prom takes priority.

Faye - glad you had nice weather and a good time at B.G. Zach is already to go back again. Have fun at the lake.

Hope everyone had a great Blue 5 night...how was it? Are you all still sleeping off the night?

What are the lunch plans for this week?

04/26/09 11:56 AM #2106

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

I'm really curious to see pics and hear about Blue5...do tell anyone who went!!

I can do lunch on Monday or Tuesday...Tuesday would have to be a later one...

Hate that I missed coming out last night...some days life just isn't fair...and that was my day yesterday. I wound up with a migraine, took some Excedrin, and went to bed. All is good today (of course)....grrrr....

04/27/09 07:49 AM #2107

Faye Sowers (Crute)

so lunch plans today or tomorrow? Who is leading this outing.................

04/27/09 08:22 AM #2108

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Jolee - how late tomorrow for lunch? Can you do 12:30pm? How about O'Charleys again? It's always good and a nice place to linger if some aren't in a hurry.

When I talked to Steve Jones, he was in for either day as well, we just need to call him.

Amy - what about you? Carla? Greg? GT/BT? Steph?

04/27/09 05:02 PM #2109

Chris Akers

Great time Saturday night! Class of '86 was rolling strong, with good showings from '85 and '87. I think we had about 10 from '88 (looking good, ladies!) There were a few folks from '83 and some from '89 and '90. Probably around 100-120 people altogether (guessing.)

The multi-year reunion format was great. Amazingly there were no fights. :) I'll post some pics when I find some time to get them off the camera.

BTW, Alejandros was excellent!

Jolee Clarke (Preston)

Sorry friends...there are only 1 and a half weeks left in this semester and I have students freaking out left and right. I have 4 coming tomorrow for crisis counseling and about 25 students are coming by my office sporradically to "look over old tests" to prepare for the final exam next Monday. So I am stuck. Next week Monday through Thursday is absolutely do-able. Sorry...

04/28/09 06:07 AM #2111

Trina Schossow (Folden)

Jolee...sorry things are so crazy! We will miss you.

Others interested...O'Charley's 12:30pm. So far it's me, Faye, Steve, and possibly Amy. Come one, come all, call my cell today so I know how big a table we need:

The mini-reunion was great. I really missed seeing a lot of you there. Maybe there will be another one in a year or two.

Vicky --- Okay, let's start making some lunch/dinner plans. What is best for you? Friday or Saturday?

Check out the drummer in this video montage... He also wrote the music as well as the lyrics... The Falsies - We're More Rock n Roll Than You!
It's our own Lance Brenner!

Chris Akers

Nice work, Lance. I dig it. Please try to warn us next time that there might be a guy prancing around in an adult diaper. (Excuse me while I go burn out my eyes with a hot soldering iron.) Woof. BTW, isn't it hot playing drums in a chicken suit? =;)
