He had been a large animal vet in Nebraska.
Jerry, two horses, and his dog were killed by a drunk driver in Oklahoma. His wife survived the crash.
Information is confirmed by wife of his brother James Johnson in Ossineke, Michigan.

Jerry and I spent hours and hours riding and talking together. My white Arabian horse was Sarah Sabba - Jerry rode a big ol' Appy named Diablo. The time spent with Jerry were always great fun. He was a kind, caring, intelligent, gentle person when I knew him. He has lived on in my thoughts over the years and will contine to do so for as long as the Lord blesses me with life on this ol' planet earth. I just found out of Jerry's passing Nov. 19, 2015 8 PM
