Bobby Hope

 - Mr. Dennis H. Brewer, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at Oakland Baptist Church, with Dr. Robert D. Shrum officiating. Interment will be private. A native of Rock Hill, S.C., Mr. Brewer was the son of the late Hoyle "Pete" Williams and the late Peggy McCormick McAteer. He was a former member of the South Carolina National Guard. As a member of the Rock Hill Jaycees and district manager for the state of South Carolina, Dennis was awarded the prestigious national honor of United States Jaycee Ambassador. He was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Patty Martin. Born and raised in Rock Hill, Dennis touched more lives than we will ever know. He was known throughout the community for his kindness and humor. As a business owner and barber for 47 years, he considered customers as a part of his family. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Surviving are his wife, Michelle Peake Brewer of the home; two sons, Marc Brewer (Sandra) of Simpsonville, S.C., and Jordan Brewer of the home; three daughters, Brantlee Correll (Curtis) of Rock Hill, Suzanne Moss (Nick) of Wilmington, N.C., and Courtney Lavender of Charlotte, N.C.; two brothers, Mike Williams of Rock Hill and Shane McAteer of Florida; and three sisters, Ginger Boyd (Johnny), Angela Walker and Wanda Williams, all of Rock Hill. He was loved by his grandchildren, Neely, Graham, Hannah, Macey, Abbey, Bayleigh, Gracie, Cooper, Mary Butler and Virginia. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service at Oakland Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Brewer's name to Hospice & Community Care,
