Yes! Attending Reunion
Grammar School:

I attended Central Elementary School from first grade ~eighth grade then on to RHHS!

Education after RHHS:

I attended USC for my B.A., M.Ed., and Ed.S.
So I guess you might say I'm a Game Cock fan! I still pull for Clemson when they are not playing USC!

Extracurricular activities in '65:

I was very active with the Rainbow organization and the Epworth Methodist Church MYF in 65. Band took a great deal of my time and energy during and after school hours.

Comments:

Since high school I've raised a family and moved from Rock Hill to Columbia to St. Paul, Minnesota to Nashville, Tennessee then back to South Carolina. My husband and I now live in Blythewood, SC. I stayed home to raise my kids then started working full time schedule in 1980. I worked as Middle School Counselor in a rural area traveling three hours daily. In 1983 I was hired by the Fort Jackson Schools where I worked military children and families as a counselor.

Even as a retiree I enjoy working with professional associations and serve on the boards of the SC Counseling Association, and the SC Association for Play Therapy as the Professional Development Chairperson providing the professional continuing education for each association.

I worked as an adjunct professor at USC in the Counselor Education Department until several years ago though continue to work with graduate students as a supervisor as well as provide some private supervision for counselors wishing to gain a license as a professional counselor or play therapist.

In my spare time from work and volunteering I enjoy time with my family!

School Story:

I recall a RHHS football game where Janice McCarter Young, a 1964 graduate and fellow majorette, and I joined the cheerleading team by drumming during one of the games. We thought our cheering for the Bearcats by yelling was not enough. We tool over the "drumming" and Mr. Nick" was not amused. We only received a Mr. Nick look!

Favorite Quotation(s):

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” Mahatma Gandhi

The whole course of human history may depend on a change of heart in one solitary and even humble individual -- for it is in the solitary mind and soul of the individual that the battle between good and evil is waged and ultimately won or lost. -- M. Scott Peck

Think About It……..
An old Cherokee is telling his grandson about a fight that is going on inside of him. He said it is between two wolves.

One is evil~
Anger, Envy, Sorrow, Regret, Greed, Arrogance, Self Pity, Guilt, Resentment, Inferiority, Lies, False, Pride, Superiority and Ego

The other is good~

Joy, Peace, Love, Hope, Serenity, Humility, Kindness, Benevolence, Empathy, Generosity, Truth, Compassion and Faith

The grandson thought about it for a moment and then looked up to his grandfather and asked,

“Which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee turned around and simply replied, “The one I feed!”
