Sandra Coleman (Brazil) VIEW PROFILE

Born in Monroe, NC, Sandra was the daughter of the late Oscar and Betty McCorkle Coleman and the widow of Jerry Brazil.

Sandy received her undergraduate degree from Winthrop College before moving to Athens, Ga. where she went on to earn her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education.  She opened her first preschool center teaching kindergarten soon after.  For 25+ years she and husband Jerry owned Brazil's Early Learning Center.

Many children were loved and given a great educational foundation by Mr. and Mrs. "B".  Although children were her focus, she taught adult Child Development courses through UGA and Athens Tach.  She and her family were memers of Milledge Avenue Baptist Church and later, Covenant Presbyterian Church, and as always actively taught children's classes.

In 1999, with ailing parents, Sandy decied it was time to come back to Rock Hill.  Upon her return she has been a member of Ultimate Life Church, director of Ann Barron Child Development Center and then director of Ultimate Life Preschool Academy.  Throughout Sands's life the two things that never wavered were her Christian faith and her genuine love for children.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends!

Surviving are her son, Chip Brazil, of  Rock Hill; her daughter, Lori Stephens and husband, Tim, of Chattanooga, TN; her brother, Oscar Coleman, Jr., of Virginia; two grandchildren, Kayla and Matthew Stephens; special aunts, Sylvia McCorkle and Francis Sample, both of Rock; and a host of nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her brother, Perry Coleman.
