Dean and I were so sorry to hear of Waynes passing.  Wayne and I went through school together and I remember the year sitting behind him with that head full of curly hair.  He was quiet and respectful to everyone. Our condolences to his family and friends.  Rest in peace Wayne you will be missed.  Dean and Vivian Patterson

Wayne and I were friends most of our lives. He was a great guy and would do anything for you. Larry F

Larry,  my husband was always in to old cars and Wayne and Dean became friends over the years.  I am not certain but I believe Wayne died of some type of Dementia. We learned of his death a while after he passed away.   Vivian Neal Patterson

I have probably lost track of how long ago Wayne's condition started, but I occasionally would see Wayne at the Post Office.  We would talk.  He was always cheerful and spoke often about what good care he got from the VA.  Then one day he told me he had Alsheimers.  I then saw Wayne at an American Legion party and we had a real good time reliving stories all the way back to Lesslie School.  I saw Wayne one time after that.  The unusual thing about Wayne was how cheereful he was.  The times that I saw Wayne, he did not seem to let his condition bother him.    My last experience with Wayne was about two years before his passing.  I hopw that his upbeat outlook lasted until he passed on.

God rest his soul.

Frank Walker.
