Kathy Collins (Miller)

To everyone, thank you so much for a wonderful time.  I have not been back to RH in 2 years.  My kids usually come to Florida.  I so much enjoyed the evening, seeing old friends. Oh my,  how time flies by! Everyone; stay healthy so we can once again come back to catch up for our 50th! It was just wonderful.  Thanks to those who put in the hard work to make it happen! Dee and Gloria, I love you.  Take care everyone!

Love to all,

Kathy

Rebecca,

Pictures dancing with Elvis? hmmmmm...We have to wait till the photos and video are posted! lol!

There is no booklet. It is better!

The committee is offering to mail any classmate their "personal" copy on CD of the photos and video from the reunion. In turn you are asked to make a $10.00 donation to offset the annual cost of our website and domain name as we head toward our 50th reunion. (I will be surveying the class for ideas about a "mini reunion" before then in some manner so stay tuned!)

The photos and video our photographer took will also be downloaded to our class website but many want their own copy to share and replay. Plus this offer supports our website.

I do not see you on the list for a CD so let me know if you want to be included. You will be able to send payment on receipt of the CD.

Thanks!

Becky

Guess What?  I, finally with the help of my daughter, posted a picture of my two girls, grandbabies and myself on my profile. Kay will be happy.  She tried several times to get me to post a picture and honestly, I didn't know how.  Sara came over this evening and helped me.  I'm still learning so bear with me.  I may be slow, but, I will get it done.   Oh, phooey!  She left and now I don't know how to add the picture to the Message Forum. Oh, well!

All, I'll post details as I learn of them. Becky

Becky,
Just wanted to let everyone know Gayle Carter (Brown),one of our classmates, passed away today, 8/15/11. She was my best friend growing up. We lived beside each other and did everything together. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to know Gayle. She is with our LORD now. She will be missed by all who knew her.

What a wonderful job the reunion committee did!  Thank you for all the hard work to create such an enjoyable evening.   Everyone had such a good time. So good to see friends I had not seen since 1966.

The Class of 1964 had a 65th Birthday party this summer - maybe another chance to get together before the 50th.

Gayle,

We were expecting you and were disapointed when you did not make it. I hope all is well within your family. Keep us updated from time to time. If you want you own copy of the photos/video on CD, let me know. It costs 10.00 - a donation to keep our website going until we meet again. I am adding our slide show on it as well which you only would have seen if you had attended. A special treat!

Thanks for posting a message and staying in touch!

Dear Becky, I am so very sorry that I have not been able to get back in touch with you sooner.  I am going through a lot of emotional and physical situations/problems with my Mother at this time, as well as working my two jobs.  This is really the first opportunity that I have had to even get back on the website since I spoke with you before the reunion.  I am also extremely disappointed that I could not attend the reunion, as I would have loved to see each and every one of you again face-to-face.  My mother began having some problems not to soon as our correspondence, and, also, I could not find someone to sit with Ms. Okey that night.  I would like to have a CD/DVD of the reunion.  I will send you a check as soon as I have an opportunity.  My mailing address is 1617 Cedarview Court, Rock Hill, SC.  Let me know where to send my check.  I will try to keep intouch via the website, etc. as often as "real" life allows.  God bless.  Dianne

Dianne,

It is so good to hear from you! No apologies needed. Our families come first. At this stage of life we all are impacted in some way with helping or having helped our parents go through their elder years.

Please reach out to me personally if I can help you in any way. I am retired now so can lend a helping hand if needed. You can send me a personal email to rebechel3@aol.com, or keep me and everyone updated as you have done so today on Message Forum. It is important that we all stay in touch and the website is going to help us do that.

You were missed at the reunion and it was quite a night. Having a copy of the CD with photos and video from that night will bridge the gap for you I'm sure. I will also include a copy of the power point presentation I prepared that was available that night. It will be a valuable keepsake for any classmate to enjoy from time to time.

You can mail your $10.00 check/donation to me at: 6259 Park South Drive, Charlotte NC 28210. Make your check payable to: RHHS Class of '66.

Thank you again and please stay in touch!

Becky

I have now experienced just about everything - EARTHQUAKE at 2:00 p.m. on August 23, 2011. At first I thought someone was breaking into the house. Pictures were rattling, dishes in the china cabinet about fell out and there was a strange sound that sounded like nothing I've ever heard, but I thought it was someone throwing something at the back door. When I realized what it was I ran outside and looked at the house and everything appeared fine. I knew then it was a quake, turned on CNN and saw all the people evacuating buildings in DC. That was scary!

You and the rest of the committee did a fantastic job. I had looked forward to my first reunion so much. It surpassed all my expectations. I could hardly sleep that night. I was still floating on a pleasure cloud peopled by all those folks I hadn't seen in 45 years.

Message from Ronnie Outlaw
09/08/11 01:50 PM

Thanks for allowing me to be a part of our classmates website. Sorry I missed the reunion. Grand daughter's wedding was that weekend and they expected their Pawpaw to be there for everything. Will not miss another. I didn't get to graduate with my classmates because I left school 3 months before graduation and went into the Marines.I viewed the video from the reunion and saw where my neighbors were in a lot of the footage. My neighbors and a very good set of friends are Tommy and Jenny Parrish. I also saw some faces I was familiar with and some that I wasn't. That is the reason for a reunion. Thanks Becky for all you have done, Ron

Hey Ronnie Outlaw: So glad you found us on the web and so glad you wanted to join. I wish you could have made the reunion, but I wouldn't be surprised if we all got together again before our 50th. It was great to see everyone, but we really didn't have time to visit and catch up with all our old friends so maybe we can plan something else more laid back and conversationally-friendly. I sat with Tommy and Jenny at dinner and enjoyed them so much. I can see why you consider them good neighbors and friends. We want you to feel free to join in our Blog and Message Forum. We really would love to see all our classmates communicating with each other. Any subject is welcome. It's just another way of getting to know each other. Please upload a picture of you and your family.

Kay

I would have been there but as circumstances would have it I was asked to keep a little elderly lady for a couple weeks. I am a caregiver for Rich/Lex Disabilities and Special Needs and this is one of my duties when needed for another caregiver. Also my husband R.J. had his ceremony to receive his MBA in Charlotte the same night. So sorry that we could not be there to enjoy it all. Love you all, Judy
