I graduated from Baldwin Wallace College with a BA in Economics, and shortly thereafter joined the US Army. After receiving my commission as a 2nd Lt., I was stationed in Alaska as an artillery forward observer, prior to my service in Viet Nam as a military advisor. I completed my military service in 1972 and began law school graduating in 1976 from George Mason School of Law. Randi, who I had met in Alaska, and I married in 1974, and upon graduation returned to Alaska to practice law from 1978 until my retirement in 2008. From 2006 to 2011 I worked in the Alaska State Legislature as Chief of Staff for our local representative. Highlights: Boats are still a big part of my life; Mercy Ships missionary service; Voted Best Attorney 3 times; lots of fish!
School Story:

For many years after graduating high school, when asked who was the most influential person in my life, the answer was always - Coach Kelly.

I broke my arm in pre-season my junior year and missed the entire season, but my senior year Coach Kelly let me catch the opening kick off. He really knew how to get you to put out your best effort.

I remember that Red Myers loved Fritos! Ted Ward smashed his new Bonneville convertible into a speaker box at Beardens. Ted and I were pals, and he is the only person to ever call me Johnny.

Happy Birthday Sally. I hope you had a great day with friends and family. I also hope that you have adjusted to the loss of your mom, since you lived together for so many years. I miss her as well. Our trans Atlantic cruises will always be a highlight of my life. We loved her spunky ways and charming accent. And free drink certificates! Our sympathies and condolences.
