Wishing everyone a Happy and safe Thanksgiving. At our age I know we all have a lot to be thankful for, our health and families are the biggest joys. Wishing everyone an excellent upcoming year and if you are traveling over the weekend, be safe.

Tom - Your puppy looks a lot like the black lab puppy we took care of while watching our grandkids in August.  He nearly wore me out.  We will be returning to Chicago for Thanksgiving weekend and apparently he already weighs 55 pounds!!  Congrats to your granddaughter on her accomplishment.  What age do they make the Olympics?  I'm sure we will see her there (if we all live that long!). That is our goal, right?

Tks Arlene they both have aspirations for the Olympics and college. Both are straight A students I am very blessed to be near them, they are so funny. And my dog Ms Morgan is a lab husky mix and at 40 lbs she is very strong but funny. Every morning at 6:30 she wakes me up with a nose to the face, time to get up Dad we have things to do. HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO THE CLASS OF 63. The best of friends. I

Tom,

I am not sure I can commit to "The class of 63's next golf outing".  I'd love to be there, however now that we moved to Maine traveling has become a little more challenging.  I'll be able to let you know as we get closer to thie summer months.

Thanks for asking,

Pat

I attended a Christmas concert at church this week.  Our pastor has an incredible voice and we are fortunate to have a wonderful choir.  When they started to sing "Ave Maria" I was moved to tears from the many lovely memories of my Dad singing this with the Shrine choir along with Mrs. Frye and our school choirs.  Thinking of all of you today.  May you all have a blessed and very Merry Christmas!

Arlene, I remember Mary Pat Muldowny (sp) doing a really breath taking rendition of the Ave Maria as well.  She had an exceptional voice.  Merry Christmas everyone,  and a Happy and Prosperous New Year. wink

Annual Reprt:

For those of you no fully conversant with Luciaglyphics, allow me to elaborate.

Not noted, but worth remembering, Mr. Diggles sponsored year 14-15.

Year 15-16 cost $100 paid and year end credit of $90.

Year 16-17 - new cost of $140. Leaving a shortfall of $50. Ms. Grewe to the rescue in August. See asterk.

Zero balance coming into year 17-18.

Mr. M. Young kindly inquired re: Solvency status and was informed (without the graphic aid included here) as such. Wouldn't you know, received a check from Mike this week bring us, and here let us pause to admire his math skills, to a new zero balance at the end of Jan 2018. Rock on Mike.

Anyone who does not see their name on this list and should, please let me know asap as you can see what high standards of practice I employ in the conducting collections.

Thank you one and all for the buck and yucks!

Merry, merry, happy happy,

Lucia, CPA (Certified Pun Attendant)

Happy birthday Mary Mach.  Despite the fact that all those LaSalette nuns liked you so much (I think they thought of you as a recruit.) we all did too.  It would be good to see you this August when some of us gather for golf and more of us gather for dinner afterwards.  By the way, is Tommy still coaching at CC?  Al Fracassa always had a lot of well deserved respect for him.

Hopefully the photo should show up that illustrates Annual Report. Ahh, technology with all it's mysteries and missteps.

Thanks Lucia for the detailed financial report.  You are awesome!  Anyone complains, hand them the ledger to keep and free yourself of one task.  Thanks to all who contributed.  Merry Christmas and Blessings for the new year to you all.

Hey Arlene,

Ttat was a sweet post about Ave Maria and your Dad. I did not remember that, but when I think of it you have a very lovely speaking voice as a singer might have. Do you have that talent, and if so why haven't we heard the evidence?

Appologies for the typos in my last post. Hope you all got the idea, spell check doesn't catch it if it is a real though unintended word. Did not proof read as I should have.

 Peace

Lucia - Love your accounting software.  Intuit should get you on their payroll!  As for my singing talents, don't you recall my mezmerizing role as Mrs. Paroo in "The Music Man?"  😏 Our entire family loves to sing, and my youngest daughter has an especially beautiful voice, sort of resembles Karen Carpenter's smooth tone.  She would have loved to try out on American Idol or The Voice, but too many responsibilities to be able to take the time off.  Thanks again for your help with keeping this blog up and running.  If I do the math, it means we all have to live at least until the end of 2018 to take full advantage!  I love having goals to achieve.  This could be our New Year's resolutions for both 2017 and 2018.  Stay healthy, everyone!!

Happy Birthday, Dennis Thibodeau! Lead us into the 72's.  Hope you are able to enjoy your special day amongst the craziness of the season.  We arrived in Chicago today to be with grandkids (oh, yeah, their parents too - my daughters).  Wishing all a wonderful holiday season!!
