Maybe it was the Cranbrook Pool Janet and Lucia seems to me I remember a lot of people jumping in that one.

Dan, That's a good suggestion.  I took some out of town relatives to Cranbrook this summer and remembered about jumping in -- of course, very vague memories.

Janet, You might recall back in the day. There were some upper classmates that got into a little trouble at Cranbrook because they jumped in with there birthday suits on. Thats why I brought it up. (tongue and cheek)

Happy Birthday, Marines, and Happy Veterans Day to those of you who served.  Thank you for the many freedoms your service provides to Americans.  I will never forget you.

Regarding swiming in pools, Pat Diggles and several other persons (including me) swam in the city pool located just south of 11 mile road and west of Woodward.  I think it was in the city of Pleasant Ridge.  We went at about 1 AM in the morning and swam in the all toghther.  It had a very high diving board that was quite a challenge.  Regarding Cranbrook, Diggles and several other persons (including me) would park outside of the brick wall that surrounded Cranbrook.  Went at night and would drop firecrackers all accross the grounds of Cranbrook.  As the firecrackers went off Cranbrook's security cops would run from in multiple directions trying to find out who was setting off the firecrackers.  We thought that was very funny.

I think you all should get back to some of these great stories ... like the ones in the beginning when we first started to blog ... I laughed my socks off one night when you guys talked about church and classroom instances.  I never knew ANY of this stuff ... ( and I could use a good laugh ) wink

You guys were having a lot of fun! How about the zoo? I know we found a baby kangaroo in our basement one morning, compliments of a certain night visitor there. (Big brother, Tom - inspiration to little brother Paul).

Tom O, pretty chancey publishing your phone number!

There is a country song with a line that goes "How can I get old and wise, if I was never young and crazy". Congratulations!  You guys must be really wise!  Please note that I left out "old"

Pete, great talking with you yesterday and reliving old times, (I mean younger times).

Congradulations on showing off that old saying that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. (There goes that old thing again).

Glad your now on the forum, now we'll be able to talk to you instead  of behind your back, ha, ha. Seriously it's good to have you on board.

Mother sent #1 son and illegal zoo capture on a repopulation assignment in the dark of the following night. We watched the papers and there was no mention, so we guessed that it was successful. Even I went to the zoo after hours with some kids of family friends who lived in Huntington woods right outside the fence. Not hard to climb the fence by the old big cat house, though I bet it was a bigger challange with a bag full of kangaroo. Did find out I was not cut out for it since i had a few bad dreams about it. Matty and his gang were there on plenty a night visit as we compare notes. Guess our guys were more interested in swimming than wild life!

Thank you, everyone, for the Birthday greetings!  I had a very nice day.  Lots of relaxing.

Looking back, I have to laugh.  When I was 10 I thought 60 was old!  What was I thinking?

Happy Birthday to Annette and all of the other year-end babies!
