Happy belated birthday, Marieda.  I remember sitting next to you in my first class at Shrine.  I also recall you trying (futilely) to get me to shut up when I was disputing some theology with Fr. Murphy.  I should have paid attention to you as Fr. Murphy rewarded me with some "bonus time" after school.

A belated happy birthday to you, too, Mary Jo.  I thought you were a classy lady before I even knew what a classy lady was.  I still think you are.

Let me be the first on my block, or probably any block, to wish you both, and the rest of our class, a Merry Unbirthday today.

Happy Birthday, Mary Lou, you of the mischevous eyes.  I recall sitting next to you at a mass when Father Coughlin was at his most oratorial.  (Okay, long winded.)   After doing my best to stay awake I heard the "Go in peace, the Mass is ended".  To which I muttered "Deo Gratias" and you added "Amen".  Sister Elizabeth Louise was close by and eying us dubiously but, evidently she didn't hear what either of us had said do we dodged her legendary wrath.  I hope your day is filled with happiness, serenity and loved ones.

Little Hanley was holding Macklind , the boy baby , and she looked at her mom and said "we can still get a girl baby , right, Mom? (Meghan names her children after St. Louis streets)  and I will be a great grandmother in late August which is a Boy !

Congrats Judy on the baby boy. I remember when daughter had her first baby they wanted to be surprised on the gender so I did not know if I was going to be a grandfather or a grandmother. Turned out Ms Kaelin came into the world, I was told I was a grandfather.

A Baby Boy Judy, how wonderful after all those years. Soon to be....A great-grandmother and your grand-daughter is having a Boy...I can only emagine how excited you are.  I really enjoyed raising our four sons.  A Happy Belated Birthday to all that had their special day.  Planning on seeing everyone in August.  Mike, I'm hoping I don't have to call uber if I need a ride.

Happy Birthday, Judy.  We can celebrate at August 26 golf outing.

GOLF COMMITTEE has met and we are firming up plans for golf outing.  Complete details will follow soon. But basics are: We have tee times starting at 11:45 am at Pontiac Country Club.  Drinks there to follow then off to local resturant (TBD) afterwards.  All is self pay. You can join in any or all of these activities.

So glad Bonnie will attend once again.

Happy birthday, Judy!   Congrats on the first boy grandchild! After raising two girls, I wondered how I was going to manage being a grandma to 3 boys.  They are all extra-special to me. I only have one granddaughter and I always tell her she is my favorite granddaughter.  She hasn't figured it out yet, because she is one of 4 on my son-in-law's side.

Tom -  whew, glad you managed to be a grandfather!  You are too funny 😂

Janet and classmates...  I can't wait for this year's reunion!  This is my plea to anyone who knows how to hold a golf club.  My skills are NOT worthy of notice, but the fun we have is certainly a blast!  Please join us.🙏🏻  I have let Chris Frye know I will be ready to participate in the fun.  Looking forward to seeing a great group of classmates again.

Thanks, Arlene, for your endorsement!  Golf is our activity but you don't need to be a "golfer" to have fun.  I hope you all received the email yesterday.  And we hope you will join us.  To recap:

Saturday, August 26 at Pontiac Country Club.  First tee time is 11:45.  We ask players to arrive by 11:15.  Drinks immediately afterwards - 4:30-ish - on patio of Pontiac CC.

Cost: $35 for 18 holes.  This includes cart fee.

6:30 gathering for dinner will be at Rusty Bucket on east side of Woodward just south of Square Lake Road - in the old Bennigans building. Address: 42874 Woodward Ave, Bloomfield Hills, 48304.
