Happy Birthday, Dan.  Also birthday wishes to Terry Carzoli.

Update on my son-in-law:  He has made some improvements and no longer needs Occupational Therapy, but will continue with Cognitive Therapy for awhile.  He recently had an abdominal ultrasound because of elevated liver enzymes, but we do not have the results of that just yet.  Hopefully just due to new medications he is taking.  His doctor has ok'd his ability to resume driving, which helps considerably since all 3 children are in various sports and practices.  Your prayers and concerns have been deeply appreciated.

Janet Flick (Stickel)

My mom, Beth Flick Rice, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, Sept 16. She was 98 years old.  Per her wishes, she was at home, no pain, surrounded by her family.  It was a beautiful, Michgan day and profoundly spiritual.

Because she had untreatable abdominal cancer she had been supported by Angela Hospice for the past two months.  They were wonderful!

Hers will be a private, family burial at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery next to my father.  There will be a Celebration of Life at a TBD date.

You can read her obituary on the Cremation Society of Michigan website: www.cremationmichigan.com.  Go to Obituaries.

She was a wonderful mom and will be greatly missed.

Janet -  How wonderful that your Mom's passing was so peaceful, much like my Mom's.  Both of them after living for 98 years!!  Your family is in my heart and prayers.  May she rest in peace.  I will remember her always.

Happy Belated Birthdays to the Murphy 's

Mike Murphy

HI folks:

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. Vicki & I really appreciate it. Sorry for the long absense. No solid excuses other than we've being traveling a great deal, completed some of our bucket list items, like zip lining, getting back to the wildness,(as if Panama wasn't enough) etc. In Florida this winter, hopefully a ride in an F4 Phantom fighter. Watched them do their thing in Vietnam but never got a ride.

As for the Panama Canal episode, fact is I think I came out a little ahead. I took a 6 month sabatical from golf and I think the coma help me forget many of my bad golf habits and I'm actually playing better then I have in years, which still isn't saying much.

I've truly been blessed about my health issues. Came through five cancers ( due mainly to agent orange) with flying colors and hope that continues. And again Arlene, thanks for asking. OB we've been going through some remodeling and appreciate the frustrations. I heard from my sister, Peg, about your brother-in- law, sorry for the loss. Scotty, hope that back situation improve.

Thanks again to all and Vicki & I wish you all the best of everything.
