Pardon any mis-spelled words - I can't find a spell check

School Story:

Hey, it was the 60's... what else can I say?

The teacher who had the most positive impact on me at San Carlos High:

Mr. Heidseik, except I think I forgot how to spell his name

My favorite subjects in high school were...

art & PE

Some of the most meaningful events or experiences that have occurred in my life since graduating from SCHS include...

working for Chevron for 30+ years, living all over the US, building an ICF (concrete) home with all the things I liked in the homes I've owned, rescuing, raising and training dogs, returning to church

Countries (and cities) I have visited since graduating include:

Finland, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Morocco, Spain, Portugal, Martinique, Guadeloupe Is., Haiti, Bahamas, Tahiti - Moorea & Bora Bora, Canada, Mexico

Some of the most memorable/fun/funny/important things I've done since graduating include:

I took in 3, 17-year-old male Exchange students from Taiwan, Finland and Germany. Watching them go through teenage years in El Paso and Ocean Springs, MS was a kick! They were great and I stay in touch with 2 of them.

The scariest moment of my life since graduating from SCHS was when...

I was broadsided by a drunk going 60+ mph one Sunday afternoon in Pascagoula, Mississippi. It was his 2nd wreck in a week and all he could say was that he was allergic to women! Fortunately for him, I was strapped down in the ambulance with a potential neck injury which was not as severe as anticipated. The rental car was totalled - he missed the front door by a foot. Weeks later, he was arrested for stealing a Sheriff's car and ramming a police car while wearing handcuffs.

25 Random things about me...

love Kayaking, art, art festivals, reunited with my boyfriend after 36 years, I have a John Deere Skidsteere that I use around my home, been through several hurricanes,...

The best words and phrases to describe who I am these days are:

a Christian, dog advocate and rescuer, a part of many families from the places I've lived, a lover of life and the outdoors

The things I am most passionate about these days include...

Promoting Puppy Mill Awareness - don't buy dogs from Pet Shops, my church, rebuilding the coast after Hurricane Katrina

Tell us about your driving tickets: the funniest, the most severe, the one you should have been given but didn't (and how you got out of it), and so on...

After my motorcycle, I got a Camaro Z-28 and had too many tickets of all varieties. A decal from the Police Officers Association of SF put an end to the tickets... of course, my driving improved, too, and SUV's just don't lend themselves to wild driving... not that I was too wild.

What I think about this web site, and what I think would make it even better:

much better than Classmates!
